Chapter 00: Prologue

A man in clothes dressed in red and dark details, on an empty night and with almost no stars in the sky, tirelessly watched a house that was part of what appeared to be a village. There were other houses, cattle and even water wells around that place. It was a poor area. It was so dark that only his costume and white hair were visible. Sounds of birds among others of nature echoed there.

— At this point... he must be far away! — said another man, who was also almost invisible due to his darkened suit, as he approached the first.

— Can you see that house? — The man in red pointed to the same spot he was looking at earlier. — During your lame mission, you just reminded me that I have a little job to do... right there.

— Would I... have any guilt... if you forgot to do one of your most basic jobs? How...

— Shut up! — whispered the man in red.

The man in black attire immediately ceased his walk after the alert.

The gale was strong and freezing. It was really an unusual night for the residents of that region.

The two men, on top of a large hill and a certain distance from the alleged village, faced the said house. Its walls were composed of a kind of rotten wood. The windows were wide open.

The house, well lit, implied that the people there had not yet fallen asleep. Joyful cries of children, not audible to both, were emitted from there.

Suddenly, the man in black turned and walked slowly out of the top of the hill, opposite the village, saying:

— I apologize for disturbing your plans. Now, unfortunately, I will have to return, since those fools do not know how to take care of themselves. Good luck with your... "work," Lord Lyon.

The man in red did not alter his expression, completely ignoring him. His eyes were still fixed on that house.

However, before the man in black suits left the scene, he decided to question:

— Do you believe... in the prophecy of the Old Sage?

A tense mood was built after that question. The thermal sensation seemed to have become negative. A great silence was established.

The man in red rose slowly, still with his gaze fixed on that house, shaking the palms of his hands. Soon after, he responded with a defiant tone:

— I can't believe that someone like you... is asking me... if I believe in a legend...

Without further ado, the other man withdrew.

The man in red still spent some time examining the entire region of the village and then went down towards the house he had observed so much. A kind of lightning, of a purplish tone, surrounded his entire body between his clothes, hair, arms and even the front of his eyes.
