And on top of that the very real uncertainty that they may not be able to be with each other due to the very real risk of true death.
While he could borrow Si's ability to essentially invalidate death, that didn't carry over permanently, and there were limits to Si's sanity in maintaining the form even if that didn't seem to be the case. There were strides taken in making his mind more resilient both from personal and external sources. Yet, the very same problem that plagued him at the beginning still existed more or less as it had always been.
