The queen decided to use one of the arrows hovering around her. It was quite clear she had no intentions of holding back. And rightfully so, considering how terrible her condition had become in a matter of a few turns.
She pulled the arrow back hastily, completely losing the grace she used to have every other time her fingers pulled back the string. This time, she pulled it back hard, still with decent form, but far from the level she initially displayed.
A deep frown was on her face.
On the other hand, Jane raised her staff in the air while squinting her eyes. Golden energy radiated from the top of the staff, though it took on a much deeper hue than when she had conjured the same injury to heal the pawn.
