Kairos' mind cleared up a bit as he remembered the pressing situation. Si frowned slightly before opening his chest up, his heart turning into a pearl. He was preparing the attack but wasn't in a huge rush to use it.
"Could you find a way to keep this monster still for a few seconds?"
Nicole blinked a few times before giving a small nod.
"Alright, I could do that."
Right after she said that the monster had frozen up entirely, like it was a statue. However, the same happened to both Kairos and Si. A sense of fear that seemed to come from the bottom of their hearts, one that worked against logic. It worked quite counterintuitively, but it had done the job in the end since Kairos and Si had recovered, while the monster was still frozen in place.
After taking in a deep breath, Si vomited a large amount of acidic goop onto the monster.
Like dumping a bucket of cold water on its face, the monster had woken up to the sound of its sizzling flesh.
