Chapter 282 - Difficulty Jump

While in the rather precarious situation, his eyes shot wide open. Right as the monsters lunged, he held his spear sideways, each end piercing into a monster and holding them back, even if only temporarily.

The one in front, however, didn't have anything stopping him. Kairos threw himself backward, narrowly avoiding the claws before throwing a fist at its face. While it resulted in a meaty thwack, the punch he didn't hold back on seemed like a slap to the monster. While it recoiled, the damage it took was insignificant.

He didn't consider trying anything different, simply because he attempted to pierce through the monster's skin, only to find his strength wasn't nearly enough to do so.

With that, the monster reached out at him.

Unfortunately, it was too late for him to dodge, and his immediate weapon wasn't available to block. His first intention was to use his arm to block, but the moment he heard his bones shattering, he decided to try anything else.
