Madeleine walked quickly down the stairs one by one, she saw that King Rendra had gone to visit the Other kingdom. Madeleine smiled happily and started to put on a thick robe and covered her face with a cloth.
"Princess Madeleine, where are you going? You can't just leave." One of the maids looked at Madeleine who was about to leave.
"I have to meet my lover, I won't be long. I'll be home straight away this afternoon, you stay in the room. If someone asks where I am, say I'm sleeping and not feeling well. Okay? I'll give you some gold coins later, when I get home." Madeleine hugged her maid, the maid who had been helping Madeleine lie to King Rendra.
"But Princess? What if something goes wrong? I'll just go with it." said the maid.
