That night, I sat on a rock near a lake and looked at the stars. I heard someone walking up to me then sat down next to me. I turned my head to see who it was and it was Masuhiro. He looked at the water and sighed a bit. I looked at the water as well and chuckled softly. He looked at me then back at the water.
"So why are you here? Come to enjoy the night sky or is there another reason you've come?" I asked and looked at him.
"I definitely didn't come to enjoy the night sky. That is something I can do in my room. I have come to talk to you personally. I want to come to apologize to you for...just making people seem like you are the bad guy. I guess I was wrong about you." Masuhiro said then there was a bit of silence.
"Honestly, I did nothing to sway your view on me. All I did was defeat you, but I will tell you that you are wrong about me. I am not here to take away the ruling rights from your sister or dethrone her. All I want is to revive my bloodline and start a big family. I've probably said before, I am the only one left of my bloodline now. My younger brother was killed by my hands. I had to kill him. He was a corrupted and needed to be struck down." I sighed softly then looked at the sky.
Masuhiro looked at me then closed his eyes and looked at the sky as well. "You're just looking to love? But I have heard your tale dealing with the other kingdoms. You've married the other Queens. Is that your plan for the other kingdoms after this one?"
"Yeah. That is the plan. Marrying all 20 Queens and the Empress and start over. Have children and teach my sons and daughters to not fall down the same trap and history as me and my brother, but before I have children, I have to kill a certain person and end all of my pains once and for all. Once he is dead, I will finally be at peace." I said and watched the stars twinkle.
"Who is this person you have to kill?" Masuhiro asked.
"A man named Alastor. He killed my family and caused my brother to become corrupt. It started with him and it will end with him. The moment he dies is the moment I will have my life back...the moment I will truly become happy again and be whole. For that to happen, I need to become one with Arcane. My Crest. I need to be able to last longer in my Divine Form. Longer than five minutes that's for sure." I looked at Masuhiro. "The form you saw was my Emperor's Form, but a Divine Form is something only few achieve and it only comes from the bond between Wielder and Spirit, God or Goddess, or Legendary Beast."
"Well I know for certain neither me or my sister won't have a Divine Form. No Legendary Beast resides here. We have to rely on pure strength to even be as strong as the other Queens. My sister is known as the weakest Queen, but the truth is she has the highest Battle IQ out of all the Queens. Since she doesn't hold any Crest other than the normal Crest of Royalty, she has to train very hard when trying to fight someone like..let's say someone like Edea from the Kingdom of Therris or more famously known Rei from the Kingdom of Volta." Masuhiro said.
"I am aware of her title, but I don't believe her to be that weak. After all she is the one who struck down the King of Ezusha. She is a lot stronger than people make her out to be. The Crest of Royalty may not be anything to brag about, but complete mastery of it allows you to obtain a Royal Form such as my Emperor's Form. I am sure she's mastered that Crest correct?" I replied.
"She has mastered it and she does have a Royal Form called the Game Master Form. She can turn any game into a form of combat, especially Kemari. She can also manipulate the rules of the game as she wishes meaning if you were to challenge her in any game, she could very well use two abilities called Rule Bending and Rule Creation. She can also make a game into reality such as her favorite strategy game, Chess. She can also kill using games. That's how she killed the King of Ezusha. Her power is a double edged power though." Masuhiro said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"She loves to play games, specifically ball games. She always wins and is very generous with punishments for losing such as not being able to play for five minutes...simple rules. But if you challenge her with the intent to kill, the rules become more aggressive and will lead to unavoidable death. Death is a condition added to her Life or Death games...Luckily she can defy her own rules by making the rule she can never lose, but when she's against someone like you who can copy her abilities...she could very well die." Masuhiro said.
"Well, I am the only one who has the ability to copy and learn an infinite number of techniques. The drawbacks of that ability is I lose them after a certain amount of time when I am not in combat, but while in combat I can copy any amount of abilities as I please. I would have to be in combat for me to copy her abilities. Combat meaning I have to be physically fighting...So if we are only playing a game, I can not copy her therefore if I lose that is it." I responded.
Masuhiro looked at me a bit surprised. "You're telling me you can't copy abilities if you're not in combat? How?"
"Allow me to rephrase that. As of right now, I can not copy abilities if I'm not in combat. Once I gain full mastery of Arcane, only then will I be able to copy and learn techniques while outside of combat. Now what I can do is learn new skills via Crest. When I absorb a Crest, I learn every skill and technique that Crest has to offer...as long as I am in possession of said Crest." I explained.
"I see...You're more technical than I realized. For a man with an overpowered ability and Crest, it sure has its downsides. Listen. I took you for someone you weren't and I'm sorry. We can be cool now right? No bad blood between us?" Masuhiro held out his hand.
I smirked and closed my eyes. "Yeah. No bad blood between us." I shook his hand.
He nodded then let go of my hand then I let go of his. He stood up and looked out in the distance. "If you need help taking down Alastor, just notify me and I'll be there to help." He said then held his hand out and his Crest shined.
I looked at my Crest and noticed I obtained the Crest of Galaxia. "Galaxia, Manipulator of the Galaxies. I've definitely heard of her. How did you bond with her and why haven't you gotten a Divine Form yet? She's a Legendary Spirit."
"Me and her aren't 100% Compatible. I just know how to use her cosmic powers. We are at max 80% Compatible. My sister was supposed to obtain her, but because of hierarchy and age, I was the next to obtain her when mother passed away." Masuhiro said. "I can't transfer her over because it isn't her time yet, but once it is...she will have the Crest of Galaxia."
"I understand." I stood up and looked at him. "There is a lot you can do with Galaxia. One of them is this."
I snapped my fingers and summoned a tiny star in front of us. "Star creation. These stars can be used for many ways but one useful way is called the Guiding Light. When you're lost, you can use a star to lead your way out of the area you're lost in. Another thing you can do is Star Destruction, but within doing so, you'll potentially kill everyone in the solar system. You'll also create a black hole in the process."
"Thanks for the tip." Masuhiro smiled and turned away. "Also...When you marry my sister, I accept you as a brother in law and King."
"Nah...I'll save the king role for you since you are her brother. I don't mind not being king at all." I smiled then walked over to Nebula. "After all, I am an Emperor anyway."
Masuhiro watched me and chuckled lightly. I was now on Nebula's back then clicked my tongue and she galloped off. He looked at his hand and the Crest of Galaxia shined.
"Hm...maybe I could try out those tricks he told me about and see if I can teach it to Hoshiyo." He said to himself then walked back to his horse.
I made it to the castle and Nebula had wandered off. I walked inside the castle then headed to Hoshiyo's room. I knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" Hoshiyo asked whilst changing into her nightgown.
"Your future husband." I chuckled.
Hoshiyo smiled and rolled her eyes then walked to the door and unlocked it. "Come in."
I opened the door and walked inside then held her cheek, kissing her lips. She kissed back and made a happy sound then we pulled away from each other. I closed the door behind myself. "So..~ Masuhiro came over to talk to me earlier. I'm honored to be blessed with his presence."
"Oh stop it...~" Hoshiyo giggled. "What did you two talk about?"
"He came over to apologize for his actions is all. We didn't really talk for all that long, but we have come to a mutual understanding for one another." I answered.
"That's good..~ I'm sure your tired after that fight and I was getting ready for bed. Care to join me?~" Hoshiyo smiled.
"Of course.." I chuckled and she led me to the bed and we got in then cuddled, falling asleep beside each other.
Alastor stood outside on the balcony. "We have let you rest for too long without trouble Ryoma...now we will strike once again. Be prepared..." Alastor laughed and walked back inside his palace.
