We finished tending to Therese and we let her rest in the sun. Oria looked up at me and smiled. I looked at her then returned her smile. We walked out of the indoor garden and Nebula followed us.
I stopped and crouched down in front of Oria. "So are you ready to hear what I have planned for us?"
"Mhm!" Oria smiled.
"Today is your day, I plan to do whatever you want to do today. So what is the first thing on our list?" I asked.
"Teach me to swim!" Oria said excitedly.
I chuckled then stood up. "Let's go ask your mother to see if she has a pool around the area."
Oria nodded and took my hand then we walked towards the playroom. She skipped happily as we walked to the playroom and sang a little melody. We made it to the playroom and I knocked on the open door.
"Knock knock..~" I smiled.
"Who's there?" Edea played along.
"Banana." I replied.
"I'm not doing that." Edea giggled and set down the doll that was in her hand.
"Daddy!" Rosea got up and hurried over to me and hugged me.
I smiled and hugged her back then rubbed her head. "Hello there my little rose. Having fun?"
"Mhm! Me and mom were playing with our little doll house." Rosea pointed.
"Sounds like fun." I chuckled and looked at Edea.
Edea moved her eyebrow and shrugged then smiled. "What do you need, love?"
"Oria wanted to go swimming and I wanted to know if you had a pool or something around. I don't want to take her to the forest even if I have Nature Unity. Wild Beasts can be unpredictable." I answered.
"Yeah, we have an indoor pool. Just go down this hall, take a right then keep straight. The pool is on the left side of the hall." Edea said.
"Alright good, thank you my love." I smiled.
"Mhm~" Edea nodded.
Oria and I followed the directions that Edea gave us. We went into the left and we saw the pool. We walked inside of the pool then Oria looked amazed.
"This is a pretty big pool." I said then watched Oria walk over to a maid and she handed Oria a one piece swimwear.
Oria hurried over to the changing room and went to change into her swimwear.
"One for you, Milord?" A maid asked.
"No I'll be fine." I said then looked at Nebula and watched her shapeshift into her human form. "You're still trying to get used to that huh."
Nebula once again tried to speak, but couldn't. She just snorted and nodded.
I chuckled and crossed my arms. "Maybe it's just not in you to speak. Besides I can perfectly communicate with you and another Beasts so it's alright if you can't speak. Tsuhori was created with that ability to talk."
Nebula looked away then I held her chin. She looked at me and her tail swayed.
"You're just fine to me, Nebula. No need in trying to do what others do. You have a unique ability and it's like mine in a sense. You can hold more than two crests and copy their abilities. You're a Unique Mythical Beast." I smiled.
She put a little smile on her face then nodded. She heard Oria trotting back over to me.
"I'm ready for lessons!" Oria smiled.
I nodded then the Crest of Waves shined on my hand then I entered the water without my clothes getting wet. "Jump in, I got you."
Oria nodded then jumped in the water, squealing. I pulled her up and she gasped for air. She looked at me and wiped her face with her hand.
"I told you I've got you. Now this pool is pretty deep...so you'll have to stick close to me alright?" I looked at her.
"Okay!" Oria nodded.
I began to swim backwards while holding Oria's hands. "Kick your feet alright?"
Oria nodded and began kicking her feet. I watched her and she had a mix of a determined look and a nervous look. She began to hold my hand tightly.
"Don't worry, I've still got you, princess." I reassured her and she nodded, beginning to calm down. "You're doing great.."
She looked at me and continued to kick her feet. I stopped and she stopped kicking.
"Now, I'm gonna let you go, but stay calm. If you're calm you'll stay above the water. I'm right here so don't panic." I said then she nodded. I slowly let go of her and her breathing became a bit more heavy. "Don't be scared...I won't let you drown. I'm right here.."
Oria looked at me and slowly began to calm down. I watched her and smiled. I nodded and she smiled at me. "I'm doing it..."
"You are doing it." I smiled.
Edea walked into the pool area with Rosea and noticed Oria slightly swimming towards me bit by bit. "Well she is a fast learner."
"I wanna swim too, Mom." Rosea said.
"Let's get in then." Edea smiled and grabbed some swimsuits from the maid then walked to the changing room with Rosea.
"You've learned to swim in less than a day." I smiled. "I'm impressed."
Oria giggled then felt a huge splash hit her. She squeaked and closed her eyes. She looked back and noticed Edea and Rosea behind her. "M-Mom! Rosea!"
I chuckled and crossed my arms. "Come to do a proof of life check?"
"No...M-Maybe." Edea said.
I laughed softly and looked at her. "Don't worry, babe. I won't let our children drown. She's swimming just fine."
"I saw. Got room for an extra student?" Edea smiled.
"Always." I smiled and gently pulled Rosea towards me.
Edea smiled and watched me teach Rosea how to swim. She enjoyed seeing the joy of her children's faces, a joy she thought her children had lost a long time ago. She loved hearing their laughs and hearing my laughs too.
An hour passed and we got out the water. Oria and Rosea dried off and felt very tired. I smiled and waited for them to get dressed then I took them to their room.
"Get in with us, Dad. Read to us again." Oria yawned and was ready for a nap.
I chuckled and they let me get on the bed and lay in the middle while they laid on the sides of me. "I'll tell you another story...now close your eyes."
Rosea and Oria closed their eyes as I began to tell them a story I made up off the top of my head. As I told the story, I noticed they were already asleep. I smiled and rubbed their heads and got comfortable and closed my eyes as well, falling asleep with them.
Edea came to check up on us and noticed we were asleep and smiled. "By the gods...They really love him..." She whispered and giggled quietly. She closed the door gently then walked to her office to handle some business.
An hour passed and I woke up. I noticed the girls were already fully recharged and out and about. I sat up and stretched then moved my hair from my eyes.
"Hello, my love." Edea said as she held a mug of tea towards me. "How does it feel being dad of the century?"
I chuckled and kissed her then took the mug from her hand. "Feels like an honor."
I got out of their bed and walked to the playroom with Edea so we could watch the girls play together. We sat at the table and chatted with each other, planning Oria's birthday while we watched them play.
"Dad, come play with us! We need an evil king!" Oria said excitedly.
"That's my cue." I smiled and looked at Edea.
She nodded and watched us.
I walked to them and looked at the foam sword that Oria held out to me. I smiled and took the foam sword. She hurried back over to Rosea.
"Okay Rosea! There he is! The evil king of the land! To save our land, we need to strike him down!" Oria said.
"Then we can save our people from the darkness!" Rosea nodded.
"HAHAHA! Do you honestly believe you have a chance against me? I can the Evil King of...Darkness! I can not simply be tamed by two weaklings!" I laughed, getting into character.
"We aren't weak Evil Emperor Dad! We will show you the light in our hearts!" Oria said then ran to me swung her foam sword.
I blocked the attack and smiled. "Such a predicable attack, I saw it coming from a mile away!"
"Bloom Blast!" Rosea said then pointed her foam wand at me.
"Gah! Such powerful magic! I have underestimated you both, but I will not fall as I am the Evil King!" I said then poked my foam sword at Oria's stomach.
"He's got me!" Oria groaned and stumbled back.
"No! I'll heal you!" Rosea said then pointed her foam wand at Oria.
Oria looked at me and smiled. I nodded and smiled. "This is it Evil King! Your end!"
"What is this power? This can't be the power of the Light Heroine! Impossible!" I said.
Oria ran to me and playfully tackled me and poked my chest with her sword. "I win!"
"Noooo! The light! It's too powerful!" I said then closed my eyes.
Edea sat in her chair and watched us. She laughed softly into her mug as she sipped her tea. She set her mug down and smiled at us. "Alright, my little heroes and villain, let's get some lunch."
"Okay!" Rosea and Oria smiled then hurried off.
I looked up at Edea. "How'd I do?"
"Just fine." Edea smiled.
"Good." I chuckled.
