Driving out of the garage and reaching the Larson building parking lot, Brent asks himself, "What am I going to do Lord, Jessy doesn't want to marry me, and I don't want to marry Rosanna, so what do I do now, please help me, Lord."
He didn't want to face his parents or return home. Going to the apartment now is completely out of the question, Jessy will suspect something.
Going to his office is his other option but knowing Mom she will pester the security on the floor. Having no choice he already instructed the parking lot guard, Brent adjusted his car seat to a lying position and then closed his eyes.
'I need to come up with a solution to this constant nagging about marriage, because of them, I was about to make the biggest mistake of my life; now Mom brings this parasite into my life.'
Jessy woke up early, she took her time still not a hundred but fixed the breakfast and the snacks for the office. Exited the back door, using the small gate also at the back fence which was easier to close and hurried to work.
Recalling that first day she cleaned the house and was strolling around when she discovered the back gate. She had searched for the keys in the apartment only to discover them on Sunday afternoon while dusting the garage. From the very next day, Jessy mostly used the back gate which was easier and more convenient for her.
Jessy was happy as she looked forward to seeing Brent when she reached the office this morning.
Hoping with all her heart he will feel the same, 'I have missed him so much but I must not let anyone know how I feel about him.'
Almost two hours had gone by in the day, and Jessy was almost done cleaning the staff room.
When she thought that Brent hadn't reached the office yet, 'This is quite unusual, he always reaches early so what could be the matter? All the managers from the different departments had passed by, taken their tea and gone to their office but Brent was never seen.
Jessy wondered if he was delayed for some unseen reason or if he wasn't well. Feeling restless when she heard a familiar sound coming from the reception area.
Recognising his parent's voice she hesitated a bit knowing how angry his mom was with her. Sneaking a peep through the staff room door as his parents walked into the office area, and went to his door knocking, "Brent, open the door, we want to speak with you."
His mom sounded very angry as they waited a few minutes getting no response. "Miss John, where is my Son?"
Jessy observed how Miss John stood a bit away as though she was afraid, when she responded her voice was a bit shakey. "I don't know Ma'am, I try calling him, but he is not answering, neither has he come in for the morning."
Becoming concerned Jessy hurried towards his parents wanting to know exactly what was going on. When his mom questioned her, "Miss Albert, where is my Son?"
Jessy could detect a bit of grievance and pain in her tone although her face could show how angry she was, "I don't know Ma'am, I haven't seen him in days, what is wrong?"
Without a second thought, Florence said out loud for the others to hear, "He left home yesterday morning and hasn't returned, I want to know if he contacted anyone of you and where are Roland and Jason?"
Jessy didn't care what the others might think or say she asked, "Ma'am, didn't he say where he was going?"
"If he had said where he was going, would I be here asking you?" Mr Larson was disturbed by the way his wife was abusing Jessy.
"I am sorry Ma'am but was he angry when he left home?" Mr Larson saw the way she was angry with Jessy but Jessy seemed not to let it bother her.
He desperately wants to stop her but when she is angry it seems as though all hell is breaking loose.
She never listens especially when it comes to her son well being. Before he could say anything Florence snapped at Miss Albert "Yes he was angry?"
Wanting desperately to calm Florence down he said quietly and sweetly, "Honey Miss Albert didn't do anything, why are you angry with her?"
