The middle-aged woman stared at both of them in shock, wanting to tell the young man that this is the homeless girl, also she is the one who place the ad.
Seeing the bright smile and how happy they both were, she didn't want to burst their bubble so she decided not to say anything because they seems to know each other.
Turning to secure the cheque that was still in her hand with a smile on her face, she ignores the two people as they whisper to each other.
Jessy heard him chuckle as he said, "I suppose so, are you busy? I didn't expect to meet you here, but seeing that we did, we could go get a soda or something of your choice. If you recall we didn't finish our conversation the last time we met but you look very happy now."
Jessy so wanted to have a soda with him but she knew she had to find a way to wash up and get some clean clothes for tomorrow. I have to return to Wendy's home to get my gown but she will finish work late and the two homeless ladies who help me these few days had gotten a home to stay.
"Sorry Sir, I am not dressed for such outings, and our conversation last time was just to help soothe my heart after attending a terrible wedding. But if we meet again I won't mind joining you for a drink. Right now I must wash my clothes for tomorrow."
"Then will you have dinner with me this evening Jessyminthia?" Noticing how insisting he was Jessy felt pity but it was impossible to mingle among the elite group of people in her present state.
Feeling brokenhearted Jessy serious consideration his invitation before she said, "Sir, you are not listening, to a word I am saying, I have no clothes, all my things are at my cousin's place and she is not at home presently so I have no access to them."
Not giving up Brent had to find a way to keep an eye on her, "I see, so can you tell me where you are staying presently if you are locked out by your cousin's home?"
"Please Sir, this is embarrassing," Brent observed how she dip her head and her face turns red like a tomato.
Taking her hand in his, he walks out the door, "Now tell me the truth, no one is listening, where are you staying when the night comes?"
Seeing her continues to dip her head in embarrassment, "Jessymintha, you don't have to be embarrassed with me, now will you trust me, I have an apartment in town and it's just locked up. When my parents are home, the apartment is empty, I only stay there when they are away, so please stay there until things are better."
With her head still bent she replies kindly knowing deep down she cannot refuse the offer because this entire week she slept on the street. Even the clothes she is wearing don't belong to her. 'Lord, is this your way of sending help? You know I need a good night's sleep in a nice comfy bed.'
