Not even two hours later the faction gates were jam-packed with people, if they were lucky at least one-third of them would be there for the job. The rest were probably there because of the faction's fame.
Let's stop kidding they're probably here to lust over the faction's leader, their gazes disgusted her. that's why she hated most men they were dumb lustful monkeys, not everyone was like that some really were there because of their fame and appreciation for the faction. but she wished they disappeared.
They had prepared a confirmation booth at the entrance they just had to pull out their job participation contract on their smart, their interactive phone watch and they could go on with their assigned task when finishing it they would have to go help out the other helpers.
There were a lot of tasks to finish like helping out with the factions stables where the member's pets, tames and monsters were kept, they also had a normal animal section and a farm for the factions food, they had to be careful with the monsters some of them were smart and had escaped countless times even with mana restraints on them.
The library where they had basic magic books, skills, classes and jobs, history books, literature, biology, mathematics and other subjects had to be organized.
They had to check the treasure vault where they kept the faction's valuable magic books, skills, jobs, classes and the equipment and artefacts they had, this would be checked by the core members.
Furthermore, they had to check on the alchemy rooms, there had been incidents because of some small mistakes in labelling, organization and maintenance members got gravely injured.
Besides that, they had to renovate and prepare for the second year's faction choosing in the second semester.
And even more things on top of that, there was little time until the semester's start so they had to hurry up, even after the meeting they needed extra hands so helpers could extend their contracts. There weren't any complications apart from a strange boy who asked for money instead of academy points it wasn't any problem so we agreed to it I was curious why but I was too busy to ask him.
A lot of first and second years had applied so I took the chance to observe them there were a lot of promising students between the first and second years but the most promising one was the guy that asked for money instead of points, he wasn't promising because of his strength he was average at best but he was a great leader a little awkward and shy at times but when it counted he would suppress it and preside over the conflicts his fellow helpers had, he organised them and got along with everyone he was a kind and gentle boy, he had a certain charm to him he would get along even with a drake.
In the long run, having him in the faction would have many benefits putting him in faction diplomacy or even internal disputes would be great I wrote a mental note to pay attention to him and rope him in eventually.
During the time we worked together with the helpers to finish everything I had a lot of opportunities to talk to him so I asked him about his reasons for choosing money before academy points he had the cutest response.
"My Master has done a lot for me she treated me well, saved me when I was in need and even let me attend the academy I want to repay her someday for all she's do..."
"And the point is!!!??"
"oh....right jajja my master's birthday is in a while so I wanted to buy her a present so I took this job she doesn't know I'm here. His face turned red he was so immersed on praising his master he had been blabbering for a while"
Master??! I am so unlucky if he wasn't taken, I would've taken him by my side but sadly his already been taken.
I wonder who's the lucky master. I won't give up ill find a way.
One day and a half later we had surprisingly finished everything except for the daily tasks there were enough faction members to do the daily tasks so we let the helpers go, but they had to come back three days later on the meeting day and tag along.
Instead of leaving like the others he stayed behind helping us, during this time we had become quite close, you could even say we were friends.
