Ares' POV
Zay asks me as we all sit across the street of the target in the crevice of two houses. Though the constant second guessing is annoying, I understand his concern. If I'm wrong and Silas has nothing to do with this, and his man is just a friend of Ben's, this could make one of the soulless most ruthless bastards our enemy for life.
But something is telling me that I'm right and even if I'm not, it is a good price to ensure that Thomas gets back in my arms.
"I'm sure. Parker smelled like Ben. And you know it's Ben that's been spreading the kidnapping around the city. He's here." I tell the group and turn to stare at the house, ending the conversation. On such short notice, it's just Q, Zay and Mace, the girls not being able to come, not that I resent them, especially after all they've done.
"Fine, how do we do this?" Mace asks, his knives already out of his pocket, swinging between his fingers, always ready to throw down.
