Chapter 101 - Chapter 101: Ways to Eliminate Weakness

What did Erik want to know most? Of course it was how to improve his strength, or how to eliminate weaknesses.

He was a mutant, and a large part of his power came from the X-gene. Unfortunately, the X-gene was the source of his power, and also his Achilles' heel.

Just now, in the Wall Guardian's base, a simple X-Gene suppressor eliminated most of his powers, and this X-Gene suppressor is not high tech.

If Eric offends some aliens in the future, they will be able to create a genetic suppressor that can cover the whole planet and put it on Earth, not only Eric but also the entire mutant population of Earth will be finished.

Therefore, how to eliminate this fatal weakness has always been a piece of Eric's mind, and its importance even exceeds that of improving his strength.

The Watcher looked Eric up and down and waved his hand again, and a picture appeared on the screen, printed in colour, with the page number in the bottom right corner.

Eric only took one look at it and rolled his eyes. A brief description of how man evolved step by step from ape to ape-man to homo sapiens to modern man...

"Do you mean that evolution is needed? Of course I understand that, but how does one evolve?"

Evolution, of course Eric understood, humans were evolving all the time, whether it was longevity, physique, or intelligence, there would always be one generation stronger than the next.

Even mutants are evolving, look at the ancient times, how many omega level mutants are there? There were only two or three of those big cats and small cats, but in this current cycle, there are more mutants at the omega level than you can count on two hands, and even mutants beyond the omega level have been born.

This isn't the kind of thing that Apocalypse has done by constantly devouring other people's abilities, but by nature!

All species are evolving, and Erik is evolving in the strictest sense of the word, incorporating all sorts of abilities into himself and achieving a metamorphosis of his own life level.

The mutants were the product of the Celestials experiments, and their evolution had almost no upper limit. In the future, they would definitely be able to evolve to the point where they could integrate the abilities brought by the X-Gene into themselves and no longer rely on the X-Gene.

But he couldn't afford to wait! How many years would it take? How many years would he have to wait? He would have become a fossil at that time!

Obviously, the Watcher knew that natural evolution was impossible, and the diagram only informed him of the direction, and he waved his hands again as the picture in the screen changed again.

Eric saw a flame in the screen.

"This is, the Eternal Flame!" Eric's face changed slightly, he guessed the Watcher's solution, but this solution, why did it feel a little unreliable?

"That, esteemed Watcher, do you have a simpler method?"

The watcher's face trembled slightly, as if he wanted to laugh, but didn't. He waved his hand again and a stone appeared on the screen, which seemed to be alive, jumping from time to time and slowly moving into position until it fell into the flames.

The stone pulsed violently in the midst of the flames, as if it were moaning in pain, but it had no intention of jumping out of the range of the flames and just suffered in agony.

The scene begins to fast-forward as the stone calcines in the flames and slowly changes, surprisingly gradually growing a head and limbs, turning into a baby-like stone man. For the rest of the time, it stays in the flames, receiving the refinement of the flames, its body growing bigger and bigger day by day, and finally even shedding its stone man state and growing a flesh and blood body, turning into a gigantic man in the sky.

"The Flame Giant Surtur? He's stone! I'm a human being, a human being!" Erik's face was twitching, if he had really jumped in and burned, he's afraid he would have saved himself the money for the urn, because he wouldn't even have any crumbs left!

The watcher clicked in the image and Surtur turned into a normal humanoid form, yet his face could not be seen, his body lit up with four colours, then continued to merge in the flames, slowly turning into one colour, before bursting out of the flames.

"Who's this? Never heard of it." Eric frowned as he stared at the figure, but the Watcher waved his hand once more and the screen became a blur once more as the mosaic flew about.

"Damn, the worst invention of mankind is mosaics!" Eric cursed, knowing that the Watcher would not provide too much more information, and with a thank you he exited the small dark room.

As he walked outside, Eric pondered the last image, who the hell was that man?

"Wait! Maybe I shouldn't dwell on the identity of that person!" Eric had a flash of light and his thoughts came through, "Yes, it's so obvious and I can't even see it, what a small brain! Four colours of light, four basic powers! In other words, I need to master the four basic powers before I can withstand the calcination of the Eternal Flame!"

"That's right, i need to control at least four basic powers!" Eric's eyes brightened, and the look on his face grew more and more excited.

The strengthening route he had planned for himself would only go as far as the Grand Unified, what about after reaching the Grand Unified? He had no idea, Magneto's memories from both lives only reached the omega level, there were quite a few strengthening methods from his own memories, but nothing that matched his physical condition really.

Now the Watcher was giving him a new line of thought that extended his evolutionary path backwards a long, long way.

"The Eternal Flame contains a huge amount of life force, and Hela used it in combination with her death goddess domain to be able to resurrect her old minions as undead; I might be able to use it to speed up the fusion of the four fundamental forces and achieve the Great Unification!"

"How to get the Eternal Flame, that is the problem!"

The Eternal Flame was still lying in Odin's treasury, it was directly related to Asgard's Ragnarok, and even if Thor and Hela didn't understand it, Odin surely knew it.

Surtur + the Eternal Flame = Asgard's destruction.

How could such an important thing be so easily taken by an outsider like him?

"The Eternal Flame still needs to be planned out in detail, the key now is to get the four fundamental forces right!"

Having clarified the way forward, Eric felt his thoughts clear, saying goodbye to the Wall Guardian and teleporting directly back to Earth.

After he had left, the Watcher returned to the outermost cavern where the Wallkeeper had been waiting for him.

"I thought you never interfered with the processes of other civilisations? Why are you helping him?" The Wallkeeper had a gleam of cold light in his one eye and his pistol, loaded with gamma bullets, was held in his hand as if ready to fire.

The Watcher didn't even look at him, returning to his initial floating state, motionless.

The Wallkeeper stared at him for half a day and slowly inserted the gun back into its holster, "As promised, I brought him in, where is what I want?"

It was then that the Watcher responded a little, with a gesture of his hand, a metal case appeared out of thin air on the ground, the Wallkeeper opened it, inside were dense vials of ampoules, all filled with potions.

"Not bad, with these potions, I might be able to live another ten years or so!" Satisfied, the Wallkeeper closed the case, slung it over his shoulder and turned towards the ship, "This is the only time! If you interfere with Earth civilization again, I will kill you!"
