SIYA RAINS-
Elizabeth and Nathan recently got married again because grandma made them. She wasn't there at the first wedding which is why she made them do it again after the birth of their son, Ethan. Tonight was nothing different than the others. We were over at the Lachlan mansion to have our weekly dinner which the entire family joins in for.
"Hey, how are you doing?" Elizabeth asks as she sits right next to me on the couch. It felt nice being around all these people, they are so connected and they really love one another.
"I am good, it's kind of sad you couldn't go on a second honeymoon, right?" I ask her and she groans.
"It's been a while since we last had sex, I think I am going to sneak up to his childhood bedroom and maybe we will do it there." She says excitedly making me laugh. Elizabeth used to be shy, that's what Landon told me but I don't believe him. It almost seems impossible, "So what about you? I know Landon doesn't want to get married and have kids but are you really okay with that?"
"You know I thought I wouldn't be but I actually am. I always dreamed of the perfect guy but nothing more than that. Yes, maybe I wish we could get married but again marriage doesn't guarantee anything right?" I tell her and she nods.
"That's true, I wanted to marry my ex Michael at one point, but that would have been a disaster. Marriage is great only if you are with the right person and you guys are a perfect couple. And Yes, with Nathan, I guess it's nice to know that he is legally binded to me and can't escape." She jokes making me laugh again as Nathan just shakes his head and sits down in front of us.
"I don't know, Landon has been acting kind of weird lately. I am not worried about our relationship but for him in general." I tell her as Victoria and Aaron sit down too for some hot gossip. Yeah Aaron was kind of a part of our girl gang as he loved to gossip and make jokes.
"What do you mean? He is acting strange?" Aaron asked me.
"She said he is acting weird! Listen." Victoria explained.
"What's the difference?" Aaron asked in a confused tone.
"See this is why we don't invite you to girl's night." Elizabeth says making Aaron roll his eyes.
"This is not fair, why do invite Landon and it's not like he ever comes." Aaron says with a pouty face making everyone laugh.
"Because it's entertaining to make fun of Landon and its gives us happiness and satisfaction to get on his nerves." Victoria confesses as Elizabeth nods her head enthusiastically.
"He is like a little brother we never had." Elizabeth says as they high five each other.
I shake my head at their childish behavior, "Thanks for the help guys." I say sarcastically before turning to Nathan, "Do you know what's up with him?"
"Hey, why didn't you ask me?" Aaron says with his hand on his chest pretending to be hurt.
"No offense but Landon told me when it comes to serious stuff he talks to Nathan because you only make jokes and they are not even like funny. His words, not mine." I tell him to see his jaw drop at my comment.
"Well the jokes on you because he told me what's wrong."
"Did he really?"
"No." He mutters before looking away making everyone laugh at this child like manner.
"Siya, don't worry, its fine. You have nothing to worry about. It might just be about work." Nathan reassures me with a soothing smile.
"Wait, this is like a mystery, and I know a lot of things about solving one, because I am writing a book on it." Elizabeth says as she stands up, dusting herself off.
"Is she really writing a book?" Aaron asks Nathan who just shakes his head no.
"I mean it is weird right, he didn't come here today either." I say with a sad smile, yes it's just been a few days since he started acting like that but I feel bad. He never hides anything from me.
"What are you talking about? He is-" Elizabeth looks at me with confusion but Nathan cuts her off.
"Come with me, I'll show you my childhood bedroom." He says as he tries to take her away making me furrow my eyebrows.
"I have already seen your childhood bedroom. No, I am about the find the truth and solve my first case but my own husband is the betrayer of justice who is trying to shut my voice." Her voice fades away as he picks her up easily and takes her out of the room.
Man, she really is a handful.
But what was she talking about? Is Landon here? Why would he lie to me?
All these questions start hovering in my mind.
"Siya darling, I need some help, come with me." Mary calls me and I instantly get up to follow her.
I look at my phone to check if I had any messages or calls from Landon, but to my utter disappointment: none.
That's was so unlike him.
I barely met him yesterday and today he just told me he'll be working late and that I would have to go alone to the family dinner. I was about to cancel because I wasn't in the mood to go alone but Mary made me come.
Oh. My. God.
I look up and my eyes widen, the living room was filled with people, like 20-30 people. I squinted my eyes to see that they were all my student. My heart stopped beating, I knew what was happening. Landon listens to me, he has never missed a word I've ever said. Yes, I was joking about to students thing but the fact that he remembered everything touched my heart. I felt my eyes get moist.
Oh no, I am crying already.
Landon was standing at the back but I could see him, he was very tall, I gasped a little when I saw my family there too. Dad, mom, Rebecca and Alicia, Analia, all smiling.
Oh god.
He walked up to me and I immediately hugged him. He held me tight, knowing that I was too emotional to even stand. I looked at him as he went down on his knees and tears streamed down my eyes.
"Siya, you mean more to me than you'll ever know. You give me feelings, I can't seem to put in words. I always felt like I didn't deserve you, maybe I don't. But I promise you I'll spend the rest of my life making sure that I am worthy of you and your love. I am different with you, I don't have to pretend everything is okay when it's really not. You make me feel safe and loved, you are my home. You're easy to talk to and you listen to me. Thank you so much for not giving up on me even though I gave you so many reasons to." Landon stopped in between when Mary started to cry, she buried her head in Joseph's chest. She knew what Landon had been through and she was very protective of him. Seeing that he is going to get married was too much for her.
"You walked into my life and totally turned it around. I was depressed and torn up about what had happened in the past, so much so that I was ready to give up because life didn't feel like it was worth living. I can't imagine my life without you because there has never been anybody else. Whenever I looked at my grandparents I always believed that I can't think of a single person I could imagine spending my entire life with but now I can." I took a heavy breath as I wiped some of my tears away, I could feel my feet wobbling, and I just wanted to hug Landon.
I saw Nathan from my peripheral vision as he handed Landon a box, "Siya Rains, will you marry me?" His voice croaked as he asked me the question. I nodded my head profusely as I breathed out a yes, making everyone around us cheer in happiness.
Landon took my hand as he slid a ring on my finger making me skip in my place, I was too excited. Landon stood up and held my cheeks before claiming my mouth and kissing me passionately. I could feel how happy he was.
As everyone started to mingle with each other, I continued hugging Landon. He couldn't stop smiling which was a very rare look on his face. I broke the hug to look at him, wanting to ask him a question, because I didn't want him to do something that he wasn't comfortable with as I knew at this point he would literally do anything for me, "You know you didn't have to do this for me, right?"
"I know but I wanted to, you compromised a lot-"
"No, I didn't and you need to know that, okay?" I tell him and I hold his face in my hand.
"Yes, I know but it just made me realize, marriage was not going to change anything between us, it might just end up bringing us closer if that's possible." He explains making me smile.
"I love you, Landon Chambers."
"Siya Rains, you know that I love you more."

AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Hello All You Beautiful People,
Yes, it's over and I am really sad about it. I know many of you wanted them to have kids but I realized that made this story very monotonous and similar to the others.
But I would consider uploading a bonus chapter in the future if necessary. As of now, the book is officially over. Thank you so much for showing so much love to this particular book. If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't have finished three books.
I will starting with Danika Williams soon, also please check out Mary Redferne.
Thank you for all the love and support, it really means the world to me.
I love you guys!!
