Not long after, the game ended and closed with applause from Anzu and Natsume. Neko immediately repacked her violin and rejoined her partner.
"Are? How long have you been here, Natsume?" asked Neko who had just realized the presence of her friend.
"It's been a while," replied Natsume and when Neko sat next to him, he immediately spread out the tarot cards for the major arcana on the garden table they were using.
The major arcana is a part of the tarot card that has twenty-two cards with zeros being counted. In addition, the major arcana also has two sides, namely the meaning side and the opposite side.
"Choose a card," Natsume said.
"Only me?" replied Neko while looking at Natsume and Anzu in turn. Anzu just gave a nod and Natsume just confirmed his words.
"Huh, fine."
Neko started to pay attention to the cards. She was confused which one to choose. However, suddenly his heart was locked on the card at the bottom right.
"That one," said Neko while pointing at the card she was referring to. Natsume immediately opened the card.
Natsume was a little surprised at his best friend's choice. How could his best friend choose that card?
"Natsume?" call Neko.
Natsume reopens the card he was holding, "This is called The Fool. This card explains if there will be a new beginning, opportunity or hint of a relationship. However, the road to be taken will not be that easy. Many new things will be taken. On the other hand, don't make decisions quickly or under external pressure until you know all the facts. And, appearances may not come true."
Hearing that explanation, both Anzu and Neko looked at each other. They do not understand such predictions.
"Looks like you shouldn't be far from me right now, Koneko-chan. Seeing the results of your prediction like that, I'm afraid that your innocence will be broken," Natsume said as he packed his cards.
"Natsume, I'm fine and it's just an ordinary prediction," said Neko which made Anzu hold her hand, "Neko, try to believe in Natsume, okay. That means he cares about your safety."
"Safety? I'm going to die, am I?" said Neko who did not accept Anzu's words.
"It is not like that ...."
"I'm going home first," interrupted Neko who immediately left her place while carrying her two bags at the same time. Usually, Natsume would carry the violin bag. Since Natsume was quite annoying today, Neko just took him alone.
All the way home, Neko only grumbled about Natsume's attitude suddenly looking angry, suddenly kind, suddenly predicting his future, suddenly taking care of his life.
'He thinks I can't take care of myself,' thought Neko.
Until, it crossed his mind not to go straight home. She decided to go to the city park.
When she got there, Neko was about to open his violin. However, she was prevented by a lazy-looking man whom he accidentally bumped into earlier.
'Wait, doesn't that mean he's a stalker?'
"Hm? Don't think like that. I just made sure that you came here after fighting with him," answered Ritsu who then sat next to Neko a considerable distance away.
"Ekh!? Y-you saw it?"
"Hmm, a little."
Neko speechless. She lowered his head until a few strands of hair covered his face, "Natsume was quite annoying today. Sorry, to bother you, Sakuma-san."
"Just call Ritsu. So that we don't both get summoned."
Neko only gave a brief smile. He gave up his intention to play the violin and just enjoyed the breeze on a not so hot day. Besides that, only Natsume and Anzu were allowed to hear the violin playing.
"At that time, your violin playing was very good," said Ritsu.
"Thank you."
"What's the secret you keep to make a melody like that?"
Neko immediately looked at Ritsu confidently. However, when she looked at the blood red bead, Neko was just speechless. She could only shake his head.
Ritsu stood up and turned to the Neko's violin bag. He opened the bag then took the violin and handed it to Neko, "Can you show me the melody again?"
"Sorry, I'm not used to showing my melody to anyone other than Natsume and Anzu," squeaked Neko.
"No problem. At least play it to get rid of your own annoyance."
Those words made Neko look closely at the blood red beads, "And you?"
"Me? I think... I'm going to take a nap. After all, following you here also takes a lot of energy," Ritsu replied as he put the violin in Neko's lap and after that, he lay down near a big tree not far from his reach.
Neko just watched Ritsu who seemed to be getting more and more carried away in the flow of dreams. And instead of playing the violin, she sat next to Ritsu and stared at the man intently.
Blood red beads hidden in pale eyelids. The thick black mane looked a little messy. Neko reached out and was about to stroke Ritsu's mane before, she touched Ritsu's hand.
'Cold,' thought Neko.
"Neko, better calm yourself with the violin. Because looking at me while sleeping, will not give you any benefit," Ritsu explained while glancing at the girl next to him.
"Don't be too confident. Earlier, there was an insect near your hair. I wanted to get rid of it and now it's gone because you woke up," evaded Neko who immediately pulled her hand and prepared to play the violin.
Although this feels awkward, but Neko continues the game. I don't know what melody he is thinking at this moment, everything always comes back to the music produced by that man.
Sadness, loneliness, pent-up anger, why does Neko know it all?
However, the most important thing was the sudden change in Natsume's attitude after the arrival of the Sakuma brothers and Eichi Tenshouin. What really happened? What is he really hiding? Why didn't he tell Neko anything?
Millions of questions welled up in Neko's mind. She ended the game with a dissatisfied look.
There were too many things she couldn't find the answer to. Although sometimes music gives him the answer, but not this time.
