Faced with this question, Ren and Rina nodded.
The siblings remained behind their parents and kept their silence as they watched carefully.
Seeing this, the woman in flight attendant attire's face lit up. Rina and Ren even saw some excitement on her face. However, she quickly hid it which made them doubt if they really saw what they saw.
She maintained her professional demeanor and said, "I am pleased to meet you, please follow me."
The family did what she said and followed her in silence as she entered the building where she came from earlier.
As they walked, she continued, "By the way, you can call me Sophie. And since we're running out of time, I will only be able to answer your questions when we get to the aircraft."
Ren and Rina nodded with a look of understanding.
However, the couple still remained on high alert. The siblings on the other hand, were looking around with their faces filled with curiosity.
They passed through the building and all sorts of areas. All of these areas were secluded and there were no people to be seen.
After a couple minutes of walking, they came to a stop.
Observing their surroundings, they seemed to be in a dim lit garage.
At this moment, the flight attendant, or rather Sophie, spoke, "We're near the airplane reserved for you by our boss, please wait patiently for a bit."
The couple had a look of understanding on their faces, while their children glanced at each other curiously.
The sound of the garage door opening caught their attention.
Whoosh~!!
The light from the outside, coupled with the loud sound of wind, assaulted their senses.
'What…!?' Zen thought in shock as he saw what was outside.
This was the same for Sera, whose eyes were squinted, afraid that something would get in her eyes.
What they saw was a massive open area.
However, what really caught their attention was the fact that numerous gigantic aircraft were parked everywhere.
In the background, there were also airplanes that were about to take off. The sound they produced, accompanied by the fact that it was very windy, made it hard for them to hear one another.
Sophie resumed walking, the family following behind her.
They walked over to an aircraft that was parked in an unassuming corner.
They saw Sophie talk to her earpiece, saying, "We're here!"
The door of the aircraft opened, turning into stairs for them to walk on.
"Please." Said Sophie as she gestured for them to go up.
As soon as they entered the aircraft, the first thing the siblings noticed was the fact that it was very spacious.
This caused them to be very excited. This expression of theirs was seen by their mother.
Thus, Rina went to them and said, "Go and look around. We'll be the only ones in this airplane so you can do whatever you want. Your dad and I were just going to discuss something with Ms. Sophie."
Seeing the backs of her children, Rina reminded them, "Don't break anything, okay?"
"Yes, mom!" The siblings answered, clearly excited to explore the interior of the plane.
Even though their family was quite wealthy, they still haven't experienced riding an airplane. Therefore, both Zen and Sera were excited to be able to ride it for the first time.
After talking to her children, Rina went over to Ren who also had a smile on her face. As soon as he saw her looking at him, he winked meaningfully, causing her to have a slight blush on her face.
The couple then walked towards Sophie and asked, "What happened? This wasn't part of the plan, right?"
"Right, even though we would still ride an empty airplane, we will still enter the airport directly and hide ourselves among the people according to the plan." Rina chimed in after Ren.
Sophie gestured for them to take a seat to which they acquiesced to before she spoke apologetically, "It's as you have said, and for this please accept my apologies."
After a short bow, she continued, "The reason for this was because we saw some suspicious people arriving in the airport earlier."
"What!?" Exclaimed the shocked Rina.
Ren closed his eyes to ponder deeply and ordered, "Continue."
"As I was saying, there were suspicious people that arrived earlier in the airport. They insisted that they were ordered to supervise the airport." Replied Sophie.
"So this is the reason why you changed the meeting place to somewhere a fair distance from the airport?" Ren questioned.
"Yes, and this is also the reason why I was the only one to welcome you. As we speak, my colleagues are doing their best to stall for time."
"One last question."
"Please go on."
"Do you know where those suspicious people came from?"
"Yes, if I recall correctly, they had stated that they were from the government. That was also the reason why they were so forceful with their means."
As soon as Ren heard this, a serious expression appeared on his face.
He stood up and said, "Please excuse me."
After he left, Sophie asked Rina, "Ms. Alcantra, I advise you to take a rest too."
Rina nodded and bid farewell to her.
Right before Rina left, she looked back and asked, "Will it be possible for me to meet the pilot…?"
Hearing this, Sophie replied, "Oh, you don't have to worry about that."
Rina tilted her head in confusion.
Then, she saw Sophie smile confidently while saying, "The pilot is already in front of you."
"Huh!?" Rina couldn't help but become stunned.
"As I have said earlier, my colleagues are busy stalling for time. That is why I'm the only one who was able to receive you."
"But, are you going to be fine? I'm not an expert by any means but I heard that four people are required to pilot this kind of aircraft."
"Please don't worry. I'm really capable!"
"If you say so… Then I'll get going now…"
Sophie smiled happily and said, "Then please enjoy the ride! However, I'm afraid that you would have to prepare food by yourselves…" as she said the latter part, her voice became lower and lower.
"Don't worry about it, leave it to me!" Rina said confidently before leaving.
As she watched Rina take her leave, Sophie entered the flight deck. She looked at the four seats which were meant for four pilots and took a deep breath.
Then, she whispered to herself, "This is easy…"
