Zen turned his head to his sister, who was currently rubbing her golden eyes as she placed her helmet on a table near the sofa where she slept.
Zen suppressed the overwhelming joy on his face and hid the fact that he can already move freely.
"Oh, good morning sister~"
"G'morning brother."
With a still dazed expression, Sera got up and walked towards the bathroom.
Zen waited patiently, still trying his best to keep his composure.
After a few minutes, Sera walked out of the bathroom. Her expression was still dazed as she sat on the sofa and looked at the tray of food on the table near her.
After she noticed the empty tray on Zen's bedside table, she began to eat on her own.
Looking at his adorable little sister who had not come to her senses yet, Zen let out a soft laugh.
He remembered that they were just like this years ago before he was diagnosed with cancer.
Especially his sister's dazed expression, he couldn't help but feel nostalgic.
While eating, Sera began to sober up.
She noticed her brother who was looking at her and said, "What?"
Zen chuckled and replied, "Nothing, nothing~"
Feeling that something was amiss, she became a little confused.
"Brother."
"Yes?"
"Did something happen?"
Hearing his sister's question, Zen became a little cautious.
He replied, "No, nothing happened. Why do you ask?"
Sera let out a skeptical "Hmmmmmm…"
Then she paid no attention to her brother anymore and focused on eating.
Zen sweated a bit, nervous that his plan to surprise them was going to be seen through.
Ting!
Hearing a notification from his phone, Zen picked it up and saw a message from their parents.
"Is it from mom and dad?"
Sera, who was still eating, raised her head when she heard the notification sound.
"Hmm… yup it's them… they said that if we saw their message, we shouldn't go back to the game immediately. They also said that we should wait for them to come here."
Zen narrated the message of their parents without any change in expression. However, deep inside, he couldn't help but think how perfect their timing was!
'Hehe… I'll surprise them altogether later!!"
Zen maintained his expression, afraid of spoiling his plan. He also tried to think of some questions to ask his sister.
"So sister… what's your current level in the game?"
This question made his little sister smirk.
"Guess."
"Hmmm… level 5?"
"No."
"8?"
"No."
"13?"
"Pfft… not even close~"
Hearing his little sister's words, Zen became intrigued.
'Even the highest level known player is currently only level 13… if there's any changes then it would at most be by 1 level. Then the only explanation for this is because my sister's level is way above the player with the highest known level…'
But now that he heard Sera's words, he could not help but think that maybe his sister encountered an opportunity, just like him with Arthur.
"Then are you… level 20?"
"Nope, but it was a little close."
Zen threw up his hands and said, "Okay, Okay. I give up~"
A smirk crawled up to Sera's lips as she said, "30. I'm level 30"
Sera's words shocked Zen greatly.
"What!?"
Zen became speechless at his little sister's revelation.
Satisfied by her brother's reaction, Sera raised her chin up as a smug expression appeared on her face.
Zen did not even have any time to be annoyed by his sister's smug expression. He could not help but ask, "How did you do it?"
"Hehe, it's a secret!"
"Oh come on! Am I not your brother who loves you from the bottom of his heart!?"
Zen joked but deep in his heart, he was very much amazed by his little sister's accomplishment.
Sera giggled at her brother's words.
After she finished enjoying the disbelief her brother showed in his expression, she thought while having her hand up her chin and said, "Hmmm… I didn't really do much. Oh right! Remember the disciple recruitment I told you about last time?"
Zen nodded in reply. Indeed, he remembered his little sister saying something like that.
Seeing her brother's nod, Sera happily continued, "I succeeded and had been recruited as a disciple of a powerful person! Then she trained me and taught me some skills and then things just continued from there…"
Zen thought about the words that his little sister said.
After a while, he asked, "Then can you tell me if your master is in some sort of faction or something?"
Sera carefully thought before she said in reply, "My master's background is really complicated but she's a member of the Apollo Familia."
"Apollo Familia huh…"
"Why brother? You haven't heard about them?"
"No… it seems that the place where we spawned is far away from each other."
Her brother's words reminded Sera of this matter.
"Oh… then let's inquire about the location of the places we spawned in and see how far they are to each other."
"Okay, brother."
The siblings conversed about the things they experienced in the game while waiting for their parents to come.
Zen also asked his little sister if she felt anything strange whenever she logged off the game. After Sera said that she did not seem to feel anything strange lately, Zen confirmed that his little sister had not started gaining strength from the game yet.
They browsed the internet for some more information, checking if there were any recent news that were worth mentioning.
After an hour or two, the siblings received a message that their parents were already near and asked them if they were both awake.
'Hehe… they're near!'
Zen became excited. However, his expression remained normal while chatting with his sister.
Knock~ Knock~
A few more minutes passed by and they finally heard a knock on the door.
Sera excitedly got up to open the door for their parents.
"Mom, dad! Wait up! Let me open the door."
Zen just remained sitting on his bed while making sure to maintain his expression, afraid of giving any hints away.
'They're here!'
