"Come out from the shadows we know you're there - - - King Aine," Zex spoke defiantly.
"Well isn't it the three counts of Zerin--it's a pleasure to meet you," Aine came out with Crimson on his back pretending to be unconscious.
"Put Lady Crimson down and fight me like a real man would," Zex drew a battle stance.
"I will kill her if you make a wrong move," he said calmly while turning her towards his face and supporting her supple body with his strong right arm.
'SHUT UP!!
"Why do you think we would risk the future of Zerin over one measly servant?" Zex drew a battle stance.
' I thought tricking them would be the best option but it seems not, 'Aine sighed as he whispered something into Crimson's ear.
""" Eh, """ the three demon counts shuddered in fear as Crimson got off Aine's back turned towards him and the next moment - - their lips touched.
"""--------------"""
"Aine here wanted to settle things peacefully but it seems like you are at odds with letting us pass."
'I guess all I have to do is sit back and watch the play unfold,' Aine thought.
"Wait Crimson - - that man has put you under some mind control spell after all he wields the power of a magic god," Lia said while drawing her sword.
[DIE!!]
Crimson commanded them to die - - but;
CAAAH!!
They proved to have an indomitable will if their own.
'They sure are strong,' Aine thought.
'--Of course I remember them, 'Aine grinned.
' The girls I would understand but the man seems not to have any magical aura, ' Aine thought.
' What is it? '
'But his strength wasn't?' he asked.
"As a knight of Zerin I shall work to put down all evil so I won't bow to anyone, not even my kin," Zex spoke in a heroic tone.
'Awesome,' Aine thought.
[DIE!!]
CAAAH!!
The hands of death clutched their chests trying to squeeze what little life the three had left.
"You'll learn not to disregard my life ever again - -" Crimson glared at them as she prepared one final shout to finalize their deaths.
"Wait let's stop this---" before Zex could finish - - - something even Aine didn't predict happen.
[DOMAIN KILL]
Zex rolled on the ground in agony screaming but only one person could hear.
'Thomas what's going on?' Aine asked.
The despair filled voices stopped and so did Zex's life.
'He' s dead---'
[I shall await your arrival, young one.] the voice said.
Fear lunged at Aine like a wild beast.

The restarted once more after what felt like an eternity.
"" Eh, "" Mya and Lia' s eyes fell on Zex's body below.
"What's wrong with him?" Crimson asked Aine who stood frozen.
'R--Right,' he walked towards Mya and Lia who could only weep for the recent fallen.
"Your coming with me," he was going to let Crimson kill them - - but the situation had changed.
He rendered them unconscious and lifted them onto his shoulders.
"Let's go Crimson."
Before he left - - Aine looked back at his new role model.
"Thanks for that, Mister Knight--and goodbye," he spoke aloud as he grabbed Crimson by the waist, with Mya and Lia on his shoulders, taking flight.

Two hours passed and they exited the dungeon - - but to Aine 's surprise as he saw the light of day again, he found some unexpected visitors.

As Aine witnessed his companions running up to him tears and all he thought ;
' I'll have my revenge for putting me in your chess game without my knowledge,' he swore vengeance against the ever reluctant emperor in the shadows.
'You' ll soon lose this game, ' a checkmate was in the works.
