The tears started to run down Ethel's soft face.
Before she could even try to get up Cloud had picked Her up. With Miss Ethel holding tightly to him, he ran into a room. It appeared to be half lit library which would make it easier to hide. Books climbed the shelf's that rest against the tall walls, only one window was featured in the room. A deep navy curtain had clung to the pole that laid on the hooks. The gold features shinning off the lights that had been scarce in the library. Cloud plopped the little girl on the floor they both walked to the window. Knowing it wasn't an amazing hiding spot he lead Ethel by the hand to the curtains, the weather appeared nice outside…. '' Maybe we could go outside today' Cloud thought to himself.
The curtains bunched up at the bottom of either side where they fell onto the marble floor. The library they were hiding in was tall, one of the tallest rooms in their home. When you entered the library two stairways met eachother, walking past the straits was a long carpet the colour being of teal the lengthy carpet continued towards the window where the two young vampires were about to hide. Tears still ran down her face she looked down at her dress which was now slightly greyer from landing on the floor, she started to be more upset.
"What's the matter Effy..?" Cloud sounded concerned.
"My d-dress is dirty, and my knees hurt." She gave a quick and quiet response.
Cloud had took a second to think. "Hmm"
Not having a second longer they heard the sounds of fasted paced foot steps that reaches the door, Cloud quickly positioned Efel in the left side of the curtain. whispering in her ear.
"Be silent, we don't want to be found first"
The small girl being so curious she nodded.
Cloud then hid himself quickly in the right side. The door creaked open, the footsteps were more clear. The tapping of shoes echoed in the expansive library. The sound slowly got louder, Ethels heart beating against her chest.
"I know your in here." Skye emphasised the words.
Efels body felt fibres of the curtain brushing against her, she gave her utmost effort to keep still.
The footsteps reached the window that was on her left side.
Little did the vampires know was that the twins had planted themselves in the library before they had reached it.
They hid under the stairs, the gaps underneath were thin enough for one of the small girls to lay flat. On each side they slipped in to the shadows that were untouched by light making it highly difficult to find them.
Skye who had went to the window had walked back towards the stairs. Even though the girls hidden themselves well on either side of the stairs it didn't stop their tiny mistake, that their lovely woven braids were peaking out of the dark. Their black hair were made obvious by the teal carpet, Skye raised an eyebrow.
He slowly crept over to the two braids, standing between them he clicked his tongue.
"You seemed to have reveal yourselves sisters, You've been found first." His voice held a residue of victory as he had found the two vampires.
The sisters crawled out from the cubby holes, their faces cast a humbled look.
"You are too good at this Skye. You'll be able to find the others before no time!" Viridian gave a mischievous look to primrose before looking at Skye. Her eyes then gazed on the curtains.
"Are you cheating Vi?" Skyes voice breathed.
Viridian then took her brothers hand and lead him to the the curtains. She grinned at the left one before pointing to Ethels hiding place.
Skye then took his hand out of Vi's grasp and tugged the curtain away Ethel, which revealed her to be shocked. The small girl was scared she had never seen these vampires before untill earlier so they felt like strangers.
She teared up and slouched on the floor. Her tears made her hiccup. The noise pierced Clouds ears. Before he was figured out he pushed the curtain away and crouched down to the girl.
"Do you want your mama?" He gave a reassured look at his flower that laid before him. The child was delicate and he didn't like seeing her upset.
She nodded before getting up.
The other vampires looked confused at the emotion the small vampire had emitted.
Cloud guided them both out of the library and down the hall before reaching his and her mothers who was now sat on the chairs near the fireplace.
Ethel waddled to her mother and sobbed into the skirt of her dress.
Before her mother could question Cloud had spoken.
"I think that miss Ethel doesn't like playing hide and seek with us Lady Leonard."
Her mother had started to stroke her to stop her crying.
"You don't have to cry my Effy. It's alright child."
Ethel was a wondrous child but she was also weary of others. She had spent all her time with her mother and was never away from her. She was attached to her like the lamb she was.
The mothers began talking, Ethels ears pointed and heard their conversation.
"I think it will do my child some good. She will soon begin school and she cannot be upset whenever her mother isn't in her presence. I would like to thank you for offering to school Ethel at your home in rapture." She beamed at the other Lady.
"It is of no problem, I am more than happy to teach and educate your precious child and mould her into the fair and beautiful lady she would turn out to be."
Clouds ears also perked up. He understood what was to happen, as he was of age he was enlisted into the academy. After he studies there he will be able to get a job of his choice within the subject he had chosen.
As he would be sent to the academy when he turns fifteen and would not return till he's turned eighteen. Unlike Skye and June, Cloud has chosen to study the arts of magic. June and Skye had chosen to study police work so they were allowed to leave the academy for occasional times.
Cloud thought about what Ethel's mother had said, 'I would like to thank you for offering to school Ethel at your home in Rapture' she would be staying at his home while he would be studying at the academy.
Though this wouldn't be until she's turned ten which meant that she would be staying at the Vuron Mansion for a couple of months until he would leave for the academy.
