When they reached their destination, Han Aera was better than he was a few minutes ago, he sobered up and was energetic plus ready to meet his in-laws, but he was more excited for his brother to meet them, he had told the Tan parents about Han Beom and how amazing he is in his work, but more as his brother.
Han Aera ran to the door and started knocking and ringing the bell nonstop until a woman in her mid-50s opened and slapped Han Aera on the head, "aigoo!! Why did you hit me that hard?!" He rubbed his head and hissed from the pain.
"You're gonna be thirty and you still behave like a baby, grow up already!" She quarreled with him with a wooden spoon in her hand.
Han Aera moved back and hid behind Han Beom and pointed his finger at her blaming her for that side of his, "I'm only like this because of you, old lady!!"
"Who's old you misbehaved child?!" She walked down the stairs and ran after Han Aera who kept running in circles around Han Beom who giggled at the two.
"Moooooom!! We're starving here! Hurry up already!?"
"Not until I punish that kid!" She pointed her spoon at Han Aera who peeked from behind Han Beom's shoulder.
"Come on Aera! Hurry up inside! It's cold outside, darn it!" Tan Haneul called and walked back inside giving up on them, planning to start eating even though his father won't allow him to do so until his mother sits at the table that was filled with all the delicious dishes they all wanted and never been cooked unless Han Aera decides to visit them, which is once every long time.
Han Beom held Tan's mom by her hand and leaned down to kiss it before he rose his head and smiled sweetly at her, "it's nice to meet you, ma'am. But I would like to go eat. I'd love to try the amazing dishes you had prepared for us and Hyung had told me about" he said sweetly.
"Ohoho~ You're such a sweet talker Han Beom~ I wish my children and husband were like that. Oh! Come in! Come in before the food gets cold! Aera shut the door after you!" She pulled Han Beom inside and left Han Aera alone outside with a look of disbelief at her behavior, but that was expected of her. She used to do the same when he used to visit them more, and now, she's doing the very same thing with Han Beom, "welp, seems like it's my turn to drink from the same cup the twins drank from this long."
"Haneul dear, please move and let Beomy sit here!" Tan Haneul looked at his mother in disbelief but ended up sacrificing his favorite seat for Han Beom who felt he's been getting too much attention, it started making him uncomfortable, but he can't say that after the old lady worked hard to prepare much for him since she was excited to meet him.
He decided to swallow down whatever he'll be getting tonight and deal with the rest later.
After a heartful meal, everyone moved to the living room while the Tan parents took care of the cleaning. Han Beom heard music coming from inside, the music was low, but he was able to tell it was classic, the piano started playing and got louder each minute passed.
He closed his ears and listened closely to the played music and imagined how the keys were pressed heavily on some and lightly on others, "Beom?" Han Aera called for him when he noticed the small smile on his little brother's face. The twins looked at him too and caught his fingers slowly moving as if they were pressing the same keys at the same speed.
"Moonlight Sonata I. Adagio sostenuto by Beethoven" Han Aera smiled at him and sat beside him, "I always wanted to play this one. It's ethereal, it's like breathing air. Listening to it gives me life and I know it'll be more if I play it."
"Well, we do have a piano here" miss Tan was leaning on the door while her husband was busy dancing to the music, "and since you're at it, could you consider playing Sonata No.17 Tempest 3rd Movement by him too?" She smiled cheekily at him after walking him to their piano on the second floor.
Han Beom touched the keys and shivered at the sensation before a big smile crept its way to his now glowing face. He took a seat and prepared to play Moonlight Sonata when his fingers clicked the first key and the music started coming out every time he pressed a key. Everyone shivered at the music playing sensing something else other than the music. They sensed feelings. Emotions. Something very deep that made them in awe.
After he finished the first one, he turned to look at them. He was surprised when he saw their faces, they were happy, and filled with emotions that they couldn't express in words but instead, they hugged him and told him things are alright now and he did wonderfully.
On their way back, Han Aera asked to drive, and Han Beom let him.
"How was it?" Han Aera kept glancing at his little brother hoping he had a good time; he didn't expect playing the piano could make him this emotional all of a sudden and go as far as to be... Silent.
"It was fun" when he turned to look at him, he found Han Beom smiling while looking outside the window, "yea, it indeed was~"
The two drove silently until they reached home. Han Aera walked to his bedroom while Han Beom went to rest for a bit in the living room, "you ok?"
"I'll start working soon" Han Aera shook his head and walked to his little brother, he patted his lap for Han Beom to sit on and he did.
"Look here, little brother. Working won't be the end of the world, but working as a CEO will start wars, and I assume you remember the rules~" Han Beom slapped his forehead lightly and rubbed it a bit before he looked back at his Hyung, "hyung~"
"Don't Hyung me, young man! I worry too, you know?! This time, you better tell me when a fucker tries to ruin your work so I can deal with him or her, or whatever!!"
"Ok! Ok! I got it! I got it!!"
"Good! Now go rest. You will need your energy to deal with annoying people so save it for them~" Han Beom stood from his place and walked to his bedroom. When the room's door shut, Han Aera relaxed his body on the sofa like jelly, "I hope nothing bad happens this time" he mumbled before he left the living room back to his bedroom.
