"What brought you here?"
"Ah!" Beom was taken a back by the question, "well... It's about working in the cafe-"
"And what about it? Do you want to stop working I mean?" Aera turned off his cigarette and cleaned his coat from its dust then walked to Beom to pat his shoulder, "if you want a break you can have one, studying in university is way different and more stressing than school after all" he shrugged.
"And what about walking away? Remembering your grandfather and our parents isn't the only reason, am I right?" Beom asked again not buying what Aera said before because his eyes said everything but those they talked about before. Aera stared at him shocked, then giggled "I guess you're the one with the eagle's eyes" he mumbled before asking Beom to follow and sit behind him on an old table in a corner deep in the alley.
"You probably already know-"
"No, so you tell me" Beom interrupted him
"Jesus" Aera mumbled before sighing and sitting down on a box, "remember that butler who came last year for our parent's funeral?" Beom nodded his head so Aera took the opportunity to keep going, "he has been coming in the past few days to give me some work, as you know my parents still keep me theirs and I don't know for how long but they promised once I finish the work they give me it all will be over-"
"I don't believe them" Beom grumbled, "neither do I"
"But here's the thing, they promised me they won't come for me again after I finish everything but it's still tiring because I barely have the time for myself"
"And that explains why you're tired" Beom said in a cold tune making Aera shiver and look up at his masterpiece, aka Beom, "Beom-?"
"Hyung? That's called killing yourself and you know that, so going with what they want is nothing but the end for you before them and that's not something you want, they're the reason for your suffer all this long-" Aera pulled his hand up indicating for Beom to stop talking before giving his point "they're still my parents Beom, even if I hate them for all they had let me go through, it'll make me feel worse to see them in that state too"
Beom sighed before he leaned his head on the same wall Aera's leaning on and stood in silence for few minutes before he collected himself to speak out his mind, "that horrible day, when you came back with bloody clothes and bandages... I was inches close to go and get rid of them but the tears that came from your eyes sent relief into me as they had to you and I knew they're nothing but waste for time and breath so I remained quiet all those months for your sake hyung" Aera looked at him in shock, he did know Beom had a lot in his mind but he didn't expect this'll be one of them. They watched the moon in silence, Aera unable to process what he just heard and Beom trying to collect the rest of the words he wants to say, "you can depend on me ya know? I'm not studying all that for nothing, the first and main reason is our family and you are part of it so you're my top priority"
He looked at him with a grin on his face worrying Beom what he'll be saying next "Aren't you afraid I might betray you and steal all you have and run away?"
Beom stared at him for a moment before turning to the sky again, "you'll never do that for many reasons and one of them is because you want your revenge and break your family's business and secondly because I'll hunt you down and cage you in a room and not allow you to leave... Ever"
"I see... Then I guess this is enough" Beom turned to look at him again with what-the-fuck expression questioning his hyung's interests, Aera on the other hand didn't pull away the smug from his face, instead, he pulled Beom back to the café where the workers welcomed them with stunned faces, "hyung?" He ignored the calls from Beom and kept going until they entered the living room in the second floor.
"How to build your own business? Why did you pull out this book?" Beom asked while examining the book for the ninth time, Aera took a seat on the sofa the grin still on his face, "you finished reading it?"
"Of course? It's the first book I read from the collection you gave me after all" Beom stopped talking for few minutes to think about the reason he might have in mind, "why?" Aera smiled brightly before picking the book from his hand and show him the author, "no way" Beom mumbled, his eyes became as wide as a cup, "isn't this your grandfather's name?!"
"Yup! He was a well known professor in X university before he retired and opened his own business~"
"The one that family are running now" Aera nodded
"Soooo you wanted to teach me all that for?" Beom asked while looking at the other books, "so you can become the best and most respectable bachelor in business world!!"
Beom shook his head, he sat beside his hyung and giggled, "why are you laughing?! You think I can't make you the best of the best?!"
"It's not that hyung, haha, I'm laughing at the fact you called me 'Bachelor', are you planning to keep me single forever?" Aera sat in silence before he got what he just said and burst into laughter with Beom following him after, the two of them laughed for few minutes before they calmed down with Aera's head laying on Beom's lap, "that was a good laugh hehehe"
"Hahaha, you think so hyung?" They closed their eyes and laid on the sofa in silence aiming for nothing but relaxing.
"But for real... Are you planning to let me stay single for the rest of my life?" Aera opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling then shifted to lay on his side and stare at the black screen, "love isn't something under my control, I can help you with few tips every now and then that's all, but the rest depends on you" he looked up at Beom whose mind was somewhere else and jumped scaring Beom and making him jolt before he held Aera by his waist so he doesn't fall back and hit his head.
Anyone who doesn't know their relation might misunderstand them as couple about make out but Aera, as Aera, wanted a comfortable position to could pinch Beom's cheeks without giving the young man under him the chance to escape his claws so he pulled them as hard as he can while Beom wailed from pain, "aww~ my adorable bachelor doesn't want to live the rest of his life with his hyung~ boohoo~~"
"Hyuuuuung!!! Shat harts!!" Beom tried to beg but the more he talked the stronger the pinches became.
On the side, Haneul watched their interaction between his fingers a piece of paper but he dumped it and walked down to busy himself with extra work.
