Draco's vision suddenly flickered and he could see hundreds of people sitting in the theater around him, they all had black faces, however, he could tell by their bodies if they were female or male, but that was about it. It was almost like their whole person was incognito. As he watched, he noticed all the people quietly staring up at the front where people were currently showing a large screen that was showing off an item. He was astounded at how they did this. Suddenly the guy 2 chairs below him lifted his hand and a number with a lot more zeros than Draco was used to, shown above his head.
The number appeared above the item. It stayed above it until someone else raised their hand and a number was shown above their head. "The auction is running every day, from 5:00 until items run out. So it can last hours, while sometimes, it can last days continuously." Draco thought about that before saying. "How would someone be able to stay for the whole thing then?" This brought a smile to the Queen's lips.
"Well, remember the houses in the village? You are able to browse all the current items in the auction, then you are able to put in your number for that item. When the time comes you will be sent a message on your phone telling you that the item you were interested in is currently 5 items away from being sold." Draco was impressed by that system. "Is there a way to check the items outside of this place?"
"No." was all she said. She took Draco back to the Shop after watching two more items get sold off. Something interesting he noticed was when they walked out into the village to leave, the items that were being displayed were slowly being greyed out. However, the interesting part about it was that he couldn't remember what any of the greyed-out items were or looked like.
"This place erases your memories?" "Only those of the items that you didn't purchase." The two arrived back in the shop where he checked his phone. "Crap, I'm almost late." Draco ran out of the shop saying goodbye behind him as he ran to get to the party. Suddenly a figure came out of the shadows behind the Ice Queen who was now looking like her older self. "Why invite an E-rank. And a guildless Striker no less?" The voice that spoke sounded like it was phasing in and out of reality. "He seems special, and why not make a new friend." the figure nodded its head and completely phased out.
Draco sprinted back home, even going as far as to activate
"Ma… how much did all this food cost?" his mother slapped him on the head. "Do you only think about money? Hm?" Draco laughed but was still worried seeing as there were definitely more than a hundred dollars in food sitting around. He went and changed into a fancier set of clothes. Deciding that the dress pants and vest were the best options he could do right now. They were black dress pants with a brown vest and a black undershirt.
Everyone that knew him from his neighborhood showed up and it turned into a real celebration. Brutis jumped out of the wall and Draco had to tell everyone it was his summon. Although not many were Strikers, there were still some that were low-level Strikers, so when they saw a muscle Mutt they went into attack mode instantly. However, after everyone heard it was a summon they settled down.
It was only after a small child wandered over to Brutis and instead of eating her he laid down on his back and let the little girl start hugging him did everyone fully relax. After about an hour, Toby arrived, he had invited him seeing as he figured he didn't get out much. He thanked Toby for coming and after a few minutes, he was talking and laughing with other people there. As Draco had suspected, It seemed he really did just need to get out of that building to enjoy himself.
He noticed that the tail that had been following him everywhere was still on him. However he didn't mind, even debating if he should leave food where she could get to, however, he would give away that he knew she was following him, which would bring more suspicion down on him. After another couple of hours of them just sitting down and enjoying themselves did a fancy car pull up.
Everyone watched as Aurora stepped out, wearing casual clothes, while the person who stepped out of the driver's seat was wearing a dark black suit. Draco instantly recognized the man as the one that had been half-naked in Aurora's place when he had gone to see her. Although he still gave off that powerful aura, it barely affected Draco. This man could never dream of matching up against that snake. They both came walking up to Draco and his mother. "Draco, Joice, this is my good friend Edmond." she gestured to Edmond who was staring at Draco with an odd look.
