Chapter 6 - Level Up

Draco jumped back as the goat let out an ear shattering scream that echoed through the room, sending his ears ringing like he was inside a church bell. He stumbled backwards, clutching his ears. The Uorder continued to scream and slam its body back trying to get itself free of the wall. After 30 minutes it was moving slower, not as strong as it was before, it continued to try pulling itself out but it was now slipping on its own blood which was trickling out of its neck where it had dislodged the shard with one of its feet.

Draco was now currently sitting on the far side of the room. After 15 minutes of it trying to escape he figured it wasn't going to happen, so he settled on letting it bleed out instead of going in again and potentially getting kicked. *Crack* Draco whipped his head up from his hands to find the goat free from the wall. It was moving towards him, although it was no more than a crawl now. Draco realized it had broken its horn to escape as a last ditch effort. It took one last step, raised its head up so it was looking him dead in the eyes.

They stood there for no more than two seconds when it finally collapsed. Draco watched its chest rise one last time, then fall. He would have felt bad for it if it hadn't tried to kill him. He figured this was how he was supposed to level up. Draco checked his stats window and sure enough there it was.

Draco checked his stats.

Draco figured the points represented his current body's capabilities. Although he wanted to wait before putting points into any of his stats in case this was a rare thing, he wanted to even out his stats so he put all 5 points into sense to bring it up to 8. As he finished doing that suddenly the room began to shake, part of the wall ahead of him just suddenly disappeared. And behind him sand started to fill the room, he felt kinda bad seeing as monster parts were able to be sold for quite a heavy penny. He figured even more seeing as it seemed to be a new species.

He started heading for the newly created tunnel when he noticed the horn the Uorder had broken off was now on the ground. Without much thought he picked it up and started down the tunnel, he ran till he found a room. But this time the room was no longer a dome room, it was more like a gymnasium and on each side there were dozens of podiums with books. And floating above each book was a title.

Draco was dumbfounded, he had heard of animals having titles on very rare occasions but he had never heard of books having them, and on top of that so many being in the same room. He walked up to the first one on the left and read the title. WereGoat. He was even more confused, so he looked at the book and there were words on the page that was currently open.

-WereGoat-

Draco was dumbfounded. Was it talking about a morphling? Draco was taken back to the first time he had seen a morphling Striker. It was a giant of a man, he was in nothing but a shirt and jeans but when he turned his skin was greyish and he had a horn coming out of his face. He had the strength of ten men and he even went toe to toe with the beasts of the Door that had shattered that day.

Morphlings were some of the most brutal and savage strikers there were, seeing as their claws and teeth were normally used for battle. Although that sounded amazing he was drawn back to the Uorder, it was fast and strong but it also had a lot of downsides. He glanced over to the other books, noticing all of them had blank titles. He wanted to walk over and check all of them out. But just then he was thrown back into darkness. Draco couldn't help but feel floored, he had wanted to read all the books to see if they had hidden information.
