I am sitting on the rooftop, with my crush, Sei-chan.
Well, the feeling is one-sided for now, but I wished Sei-chan would also love me someday.
I opened the lunch box which I brought. Sei-chan also awkwardly opened her lunch box which consist of...
"Fried potatoes...?"
Her lunch was full of fired potatoes and most of the potatoes were burnt.
"S-Sei-chan... Are you sure... you will eat this?"
I said in a troubled voice. If she had bought anything normal, even bread would be good. But eating only cold fried potatoes on the top of it that were burnt, isn't this like a punishment.
"Don't worry about it, I am used to it."
She laughed awkwardly and ate the potatoes.
I feel bad for her, even so because she is the person I like.
"Sei-chan, let's share lunch!"
"Nope."
"Ha? Why?"
"You are probably feeling bad for me, and I don't want to trouble you."
She had a distant look on her face as she said that. She may be brave, but she is also a girl, which I love so much.
"No, no!"
I shook my head.
"I am not doing this because I feel bad for you or something. I am doing this because I want to eat your handmade food!"
I said in an enthusiastic tone.
"Handmade...food?"
She tilted her head.
"Yes, don't you know, the greatest dream of a boy is to eat the food that is cooked by a girl. And I love you, so this dream is, even more, greatest for me.
So, let's share. I really want to eat them!"
I stare at her lunch box. Half of me wants to help her, but half of me wants to eat the lunch made by her.
"Even if it is... burnt?"
"Yea, even if it is a poison, I would eat gladly."
I smiled brightly. Her face turned red, she she smiled innocently, that made my heart skip a bit.
"Ok..."
She said that ,and we shared our lunch.
I took a piece of potato.
'T-This is made by Sei-chan!'
I ate it. It tasted a little bitter, but I was so overwhelmed by the fact that I was eating her homemade food that it tasted even more delicious than restaurant food.
So, without a wait, I chomped down the potatoes.
Sei-chan also ate the food.
She picked vegetables slowly opened her mouth and ate it.
She looked like a small animal.
'She is too cute!'
I smiled looking at her.
And with that, we spent our lunch break together, in the rooftop.
