We where able to find a doctor close to the kingdom's border, her wounds weren't that bad so we where able to leave with in an hour.
"Now that where out of the kingdom what are your names?" I asked
"Do-Yun"
"Ye-Hun"
"Nice to meet you" I told them
We continue walking down the path, I soon took off my hood since I was start to sweat from the sun.
"Princess where are we going?" Do-Yun asked
"Where going to the neighboring kingdom" I said
"Why, can't we stay here" Ye-Hun asked
"No, we survived and got out of the palace which means all three of us have targets on our backs, I have the biggest since I am the princess and the only hair to the throne" I told them
"Why not take the throne now your highness?"
Do-Yun asked confused
"If I took the throne now I would be listening to my emotions and letting them take over and not thinking things through, so our best option is to go to the neighboring kingdom and lay low for a little" I told them
"Alright your highness" they told me
"You don't have to call me your highness or princess anymore because where friends plus it sounds to formal to me" I told them with a small chuckle
"Alright"
Time skip
It's been a month since we got to Tarin, we had enough money to buy a small house. When we got here we found different clothes so we wouldn't stand out or have clothes that say royalty, but now we need more money and the only way is to get a job.
The girls each got a job to help but there not bringing in enough money to support all three of us, it's barely enough to get through a week.
We where walking around the town just trying to pass some time.
"I think I'm going to become a maid at the palace" I spoke up
"What you can't do that" Do-Yun told me
"We don't have enough money to support all three of us" I told her
"If you become a maid then where joining you"
Ye-Hun said
"You guys don't have to, the two of you have already done so much for me" I told them
"Where gonna join you plus we can teach you the ropes" Do-Yun said with a laugh
"There's no talking you two out of it is there" I asked
"Nope"
I sighed but gave in, as we where walking I saw a large group of people. We decided to walk over and check it out, when we got there we all saw a man standing at the front.
"Attention all citizens of Tarin, as of today the princes our looking for a bride." He spoke
All the girls started giggling
"What does he mine princes?" I said confused
"The seven princes of Tarin must all be wedded to the same wife, it's a tradition that they follow"
Do-Yun told me
"But why marry just one bride when there's seven" I spoke
"It's just what they do" Ye-Han told me
"Then who becomes the next emperor" I asked
"The oldest will but there wife does get a say in it, so if she thinks one of the other brothers is better fit for the throne she can speak up" Do-Yun told me
Me and Ye-Han look at her
"How do you know that, I mean where not from this kingdom" Ye-Han whispered to her
She shrugged her shoulders
"I read a lot of book during my down time" she told us
"Well I guess that helps us a little" I told her
She smiled and nodded, we looked back up at the man.
"Quite down lady's, now your welcome to come up to me and summit a request to meet with them, but first you must but a little about you so the Princes may read it, if they want to meet you they will send a letter back" he told them
"I know there going to choose me I mean who wouldn't I'm beautiful and have everything a man could ever want especially the body" I heard a women say next to me
I looked at her in disgust
"What are you looking at" she asked
"You do know it's not about looks right, yes they'll take that into account but there also gonna want to see how you treat the servants or the people, it's not about power or your status which I'm sure that's way your doing this for the power and wealth you'll get out of it" I told her
"How dare a lowly beggar like you talk to me like that" she told me
She raise her hand and was about to hit me but before she was able to Ye-Han stepped in the way and got hit instead.
"Ye-Han" I said
"I couldn't let her hit you" she mumbled
I smiled a little at her trying to proctoring me
"By you trying to hit me proves my point that you only care about the power and wealth you'll get from this" I told her
"Your a peasant and I'm a noble, you don't get to speak to me that way, because one word for me and you'll be executed" she told me all smug
I knew she couldn't do that because one I was higher then her in status since I'm a princess but she didn't know that, and two if she did she would be through in jail right away for being involved with killing the Wairyn Kingdoms Crown Princess.
"My bad, sometimes I speak with out thinking" I told her faking an apology
She smirked and walked away,once she was gone my face dropped.
"How about you summit an application my lady" Ye-Han said
"I can't, plus I decided I want to be a palace maid" I told them
I walked up to the man, and did a little bow
"Are you summiting your request" he asked
"No, but the three of us where interested in becoming palaces maids and wondering how to do so" I asked him
"I have some papers if you wanna fill them out, will look over them and if we accept you will send someone to fetch you" he told us
"Thank you sir" I told him bowing again
He handed us the papers, we where able to fill them out easily, we gave them back to him then walked away.
For some reason I couldn't stop thinking about what the princes looked like, I may be the crown princess of the neighboring kingdom but I don't recall meeting the princes of the Tarin.
