But what does he want me to do possibly in this out of nowhere in this forest. I don't know maybe hunting. I started channelling mana through my soul stem, conjuring the element of ice and covering my face. I don't maybe he might start randomly swinging that large heap of iron that so-called sword towards me or some arrows might come from trees or there might be some traps in this forest or some animals running towards me I don't know about.
I took my knives out one in each hand.
"So you might know for the practical exams the Academy would want you to run a course
with a bunch of obstacles or something is hidden that they might want from examines to find," he said.
"Yes I know" I replied being ready.
"So concentrate on your soul stem and try to map the area" he declared.

He left me there and seem to lose in those tall wood. Now let's complete this and return
home and research about our new favourite Emperor.
Let's see I can't possibly run towards the
nearest shard it would be just be running into his traps which I don't want.
Let's see since according to what I have read shards are a type of crystalline mineral grey in appearance with kind of blue lines that kind of look like magic circuit, some mages even argue that shards are the very substance that helps humans to the magic-using creature as other animals couldn't use that but that theory is not confirmed.
Enough thinking about that shard thing let's try to come up with an optimal plan to find that. Firstly let's try to scan this whole forest to locate all those locations where it is hidden. Now concentrate Aidan you can do it's not that different than trying to that single sheet you want from a pile of paper.

Find it!!. the first one. I think it's somewhere around the southeast of where I am maybe right there. First done let's find the second one from what I can sense it is the right backside of this hill that I am seeing right now.
The third and my senses say it
is straight right on my side nothing but a straight line. Fourth I don't seem to be so far away as the signs are s something is blocking it and the last one is nowhere to be found.
Good.Good... Now let's use this knife and carve this thing on this tree. A cross here where am, a dot for the first one, second and third and fourth. And done. Now am ready to move let's find the first one quickly.
So moving south-east we will be finding our first shards. Now walking there straight is very
difficult as the sun might change its direction so, I think I can get lost very and since it is a forest the light of the sun after some time might get too to see even that direction.
I think following the stream from the left might help as it just goes straight to the east and then I try to find something to lead me to that spot.
Along the stream l concentrate on my soul stem to get as close to that shard through that stream. I don't know about those imperial knights or whatever but Arnon seems to
complete psychopath, what is this is so kind of game to leave a child of another's house in the of the forest. No talking, No opinions what is he some kind of possessed human or some shit that says the same crap over and over again. I know he was in the military but that shouldn't make him some kind of rock. Or maybe l am wrong and he got me previous issues that might not know but, still, his speech pattern is really weird.
Now, where was I, yeah finding that dammed rock., Ok, so this is the closest I can get to that shard through that stream. Its signs are becoming stronger and as l am going inside the forest deep and deep leaving that stream.
The wind was blowing from the east and felt cool in the midst on this warm day the trees were thicker and taller in the south than what it was from the starting point.
As I forward towards the south the signs were more clear and clear that it started hurting my back in the spine as it re were where the soul stem was located. But the biggest problem was that the shard was not located anywhere on the ground but on a tall tree that seems to be impossible to climb. I could see from the ground that the shard was there on the apex of the tree as it was glowing with a blue light.
The only possible method I can
think of to obtain that substance probably cutting this tree down. That's the only method
think would be the best.
