It was a beautiful day in Bronxvil a small town where crime wasn't so common and had a relatively peaceful environment...though many villagers weren't exactly rich,the people worked hard everyday with the little things they had, all to put food on the table and with the growing population,the little job opportunities available became scarce by each day.
This lead to many individuals engaging criminal acts such as gambling,prostitution and pickpocketing that would earn them the little money they needed to fend for themselves and their families.
Life wasn't exactly fair in this city,as leaders would usually waste all the funds they've acquired from tax to feed only themselves and their families alone while showing less concern for the town folks...The situation seemed to get worse by each,as they would bring more problems rather than solving the initial ones.
Folks always complained about their shortage of water and electricity problems but the heads turned a deaf ear to all of them as they would use the little resources available to their own benefit....With all the power they had,getting people to comply wasn't very difficult, as they would only dispose of anyone who would dare to protest.
The most prominent characteristic of Bronxvil was the fact that about 90% of it's population, were powerless in terms of supernatural abilities.
No one was able to explain this phenomenon,as the nearly everyone on the planet had an ability but yet only in Bronxvil will you find most of the people without an ability.
The rest of 10% that had abilities either belongd to the police force or the heads of the town
This was so because the leaders only recruited those with abilities,but though the number was few,they made up for it with their strong abilities. A single person with a strong abilities could level the whole city without even breaking a sweat, and with powerless town folks, it wouldn't be a challenge.
That being said, everyone prayed to manifest their abilities as early as possible so that they would be recruited into a high position,as the higher your position,the higher you will be paid.
The police held auditions at their headquarters for anyone who claimed to have acquired an ability and would run various tests to clarify of you have an ability or not. If one passes these tests,one will be promoted...if not,one will be sent home. You would often find the place flooded with people as everyone wanted to be recruited into a higher position.
Young Adam often sneaked into this place during the weekend to watch the so called ability users for entertainment as he didn't have anything better to do at home during that time

"Oh crap,I'm gonna be late for school" Adam said to himself as he hurriedly got into his school uniform.
As fast as he could,Adam quickly took his breakfast,grabbed all his books he needed and shoved them in his bag...then after making all the necessary preparations,hegot out of his apartment and left for school
As part of a recent project by the government,they provided temporary apartments for homeless people from the ages of 7 to 25 years and took care of all their bills and their food supply. During that time,they are required to secure a job of their own and once they have a job, they will now have to pay for their own bills.
On his way to school, young Adam would constantly check his watch to calculate how much time he had left before lessons began,as he was well aware that anyone who showed up a minute after 8:00 Am would be severely punished by the teachers.
Adam Cole was a 14 year old Orphan who u was one of average height and black messy dark hair. But his most prominent feature was his slim arms and legs. Growing up, Adam always lived on the streets and always begged for food,in such a cruel world,most people never paid any attention to the homeless orphan such as himself and only a handful of people showed actual care for him by offering him a place to stay during harsh weathers,that was until some military personnel discovered the young man and enrolled him in one of the many public boarding schools in the city.
These public schools provided food,shelter and medical care to less privileged students which was good for Adam seeing how Adam had no parents to take care of him. At a very young age, Adam dreamed of pursuing his dream of one day becoming a pro hero once he was old enough, but was always mocked and bullied for having his such high hopes over something that was virtually impossible for people of their town.
But optimistic as he is, he ignores the haters and kept pursuing his dreams. This made him to become one of the smartest students
A few minutes had passed since Adam leafy for school Andy he had finally arrived at his destinations. " Hugh....Hugh....I would kill for superspeed fight bow" Adam said as he was obviously exhausted after the run. Luckily after checking his wrist watch once again,he still had about two minutes before lessons b egin and with that,he once again dashed for his classroom to get a seat.
entering the classroom, he realized that many of his w seated and were waiWhenting for the teacher to arrive... leasurely walking walking to his desk,he was just about to take a seat when he heard a familiar sound...

"Whoa,just in time"
Adam didn't exactly make friends at school and nobody bothered to ever talk to him either. For quite a while,he had become used to it and assumed that not having any friends was probably for the best

School had finally ended after a series of class exercises and other educational activities. One by one, the students exited the classroom and as usual a certain someone was the last to come out of the classroom
"Hey moron,what's taking so long" a voice said at the entrance...
"Relax Thomas,I had some urgent business to attend to" Adam replied as he got off his chair and walked out of the class
Thomas was quite a muscular guy who had neatly trimmed brown hair and blue eyes. He was quite proud of his physique as he would often be cought bullying the weaker students...But there was one teenager who always didn't succumb to Thomas... Though nearly all the students didn't have an ability, Thomas was the only student in Adam's class that had an ability....the ability of 'bite force'. this was a power that enabled him to bite through the toughest objects such as steel.
Though it wasn't the strongest abilities,it was better than not having any. With this, it made him even more feared by his classmates as they were afraid if getting on his wrong side.
But even with Thomas' huge muscles and not so strong ability, Adam would never let himself get bullied without a fight
Walking out of the room,Adam intensionally looked straight in the eyes of Thomas to see if he would try to attack him or something but that never happened.
"Hold it right there" Thomas called out.
"🙄What do you want" Adam replied back as he turned around.
Slowly, Thomas walked towards Adam and when he got close enough,he quickly looked lest and right to see in anyone was around that might hear what he was about to say.
Judging from the way he was acting, Adam had his suspicion that something was about to happen,and quickly clenching his fist and hid it behind his back,preparing himself for the worst.... But surprisingly he was shocked by what he had just heard.
" You want me to what!??.No way I'm doing that...you can find someone else" Adam snapped back.
"Listen up, you're gonna do what I say or else ..." Thomas threatened
" Or else what, do you have any idea how much trouble we're gonna be in if I do that for you!! "
Hearing the lasts words come out of Adam's mouth, Thomas' face turned slightly red as he was embarrassed that someone might have heard them.
"sorry, but you can find someone else" Adam said as he walked away and out of the building.

'man, I can't believe that idiot wanted me to build his project for him' Adam thought..."I mean,I understand that it isn't easy,but why can't he just forfeit if he's not up to the task"
The annual science fair was in three weeks time and it required student to build cool gadgets and all sorts of machines...the winner of this event would be given a golden medal and would earn a lot of respect...with the said,it was understandable why Thomas would make that request. But he was not the only one who was desperate to win.
"Aaahhhh, THIEF... stop that man!!"
Looking over to where the voice came from, Adam could see an old man who was lying on the floor and pointing to a certain direction... as Adam looked to see what she was pointing at, he could see a runaway man who had a perse in his arms...
"Somebody pleases stop that man!" the old man cried out. As he lifted his head up,he could see a young man with his hands stretched out and had a bright white grin on his face...
"Don't worry sir..... because I,am here" Adam said as he ran after the thief
