Initially, the eleven cultivators who found the tomb were three separate groups.
Each group was on a mission and didn't have anything to do with each other.
However, the three groups coincidentally encountered a fight between two class four demonic beasts.
The demonic beasts were an ice python and an ice eagle.
Both beasts were at the late stage of the fourth class and their battle broke the ground around them.
As luck would have it, the three groups were standing on a frozen lake.
Because of the battle, the ice covering the lake shattered, catching the three groups by surprise.
In that moment of surprise, the eleven cultivators failed to react quickly and fell into the lake.
As cultivators, falling into a freezing lake was not a big deal.
However, the eleven soon realised that something was wrong with the lake.
