Chapter 3 - Father and Son

Unlike before, now he couldn't even get himself to directly looked at Kent.

The invisible pressure that washed over he gave him an instinctive conscious of an absolute death.

Kent walked back to the guard, the guard shivered, frightened. He grabbed the guard on the shoulder and whispered. "Leave at one's, I see that you have a potential, be with your family at this very instant, don't leave by their side until 6:00 pm as the words you know will cease to exist."

The guard dropped to the ground, shuddering out of share instinctive fright. He looked back to Kent's figure entering the building like nothing has happened.

[One's you passed the first trial and arrive in Arcana, chose Moonlight Kingdom as your destination if you like it, I would accept you as my servant.]

The sudden voice resounding directly inside his head surprised the guard, but a second later the guard adjusted his posture, bowing.

[Is he even human?]

The guard thought, recalling the immense pressure, when Kent seemed like a pre-historic ancient heavenly beast.

At first, he couldn't believe Kent's words about the world changing, but the moment Kent sent a telepathic message, the guard was force to accept the absurd statements.

It wouldn't bring him harm either way. If what Kent said is true he would be thankful and if what said Kent is a hoax he could think it as the person making fun of him.

Kent spared the guard's life and share a bit of information isn't out of concern or kindness. Earlier, Kent found the person's attitude and domineer good, moreover, Kent could instinctively feel an un-nurtured talent sleeping inside the guard.

[Playing solo might be good for me, but eventually, I need people to rely on so that I wouldn't repeat the same mistakes I did in my past life.]

Kent is determined to right down his old mistakes to avoid his past gaps in himself.

He might one's be a powerful individual in his past life, able to destroy countries if he likes. However, he isn't so perfect that he didn't commit mistakes, Kent's mistakes in his past life overshadowed his achievements and power, at the very end resulting to his demise.

Entering the building, Kent smoothly passed without worries, no one bothered to stopped Kent, as the previous purpose act of the guard kneeling-down on the flood made an impression to the other's that Kent isn't someone they could offend.

A misunderstanding sprouted, they thought that Kent is a well-respected individual trying to hide his appearance. But thanks, to such misunderstanding, no one bothered to blocked Kent's path.

Before arriving in the building, Kent readied himself for a bloodbath, but seeing that everyone seemed to avoid him due to his act of pressuring the guard he recruited, Kent didn't bother to get his hands dirty.

After a minute, Kent arrived to the floor where President Jerome Kim and young master Jayson Kim was at.

The floor is wide, yet he could only see a single person to what it seemed like a front desk doing idly something in her phone. She didn't even notice Kent's arrival from the elevator.

Kent grabbed a stone from his pocket and flick it directly hitting the receptionist like person's back.

Instantly, the receptionist staggered, falling down unconscious.

Walking in front of the office door, Kent could hear scream's resounding from the inside.

A hoarse voice of a middle age man being tormented echoed in the inside.

[As expected…]

While Kent is a bit merciless and sometimes loved to torment people for his justification or for his benefit, he still had his criteria. Kent didn't deny that he did kill innocent people, sometimes collateral damage. However, tormenting innocent people never one's crossed his mind.

Just like the instinctive feeling he got from the guard earlier, Kent could somewhat get another feeling from the man who is being tortured inside.

Just like the guard, Kent could feel that the men possessed a talent.

This instinctive feeling isn't his guts or something like sprung randomly, this is his exclusive passive trait of Empath.

Empath is one of the many abilities he possessed that didn't disappear after his return in this timeline. Empath, allows him to ascertain a person's nature and see through their emotions, he could even predict a person's action based on their emotions.

Ascertaining a person's nature, Kent knew that both the guard and the tormented middle age man inside are both good-natured people.

Furthermore, the Empath's power didn't just stop there. Kent could also passed through a person's spiritual defense boundaries as such seeing their very soul he can analyze if one possessed talent.

To his current prowess, Empath allows him to see through a person's nature, read their emotions, predict their movements, see through their hidden talents and lastly the one Kent used to pressure the guard terror domain.

Back then Kent only used no more than 2% to pressure the guard breathless, pushing the percentage to more than 10% towards normal individuals could end up turning the person nuts.

While Empath isn't likely an offensive type ability, and more inclined to being a control type one, such prowess and abilities can be considered as overpowered.

--Old man, why don't you try begging me and lick my shoes, I might be kind enough to persuade father to extend your quota.

Young master Jayson Kim said, grinning.

[Never one's I thought my old rival, even in my dreams, would be humiliated by my son in such extent.]

Jerome Kim though a bit excited to such sight.

[If it wasn't for my daughter and son's safety, I wouldn't have hesitated to strangle this bastard's neck.]

The middle age man, Albert Lean couldn't help but bit his already bleeding lips hard, widening the wound out of frustration.

It was at this moment a loud rumbling sound then an explosion occurred cause by an explosive pressure brought by air pressure destroyed the office door into pieces.

Boom! Scattered…!
