The decisive battle for the universe's fate climaxed as the cosmos collapsed. The two entities saw only each other.
The God of Chakra had exhausted all its available power. Yuuji, on the other hand, theoretically still had a way out. He had cells scattered across the timeline that could still extract chakra if pushed to extremes. There was also some natural energy left on the flesh and blood planet behind him.
"Is this your full strength? If so, you've lost! You might weaken me, but you can't destroy me," Yuuji stated coldly, still launching terrifying nuclear blasts to reduce the God of Chakra's size.
"As long as I destroy your planet and its people..." the God of Chakra said intermittently.
"Destroying them is useless! I still have methods I haven't used," Yuuji retorted with a sneer.
He had other options but wasn't sure if they could be effectively employed at such a critical moment. These included the illusory dream world—both the Infinite Tsukuyomi and the Infinite Izanagi could open the gates to this illusory dream world.
Taking power from the dream world during such a dire battle was risky. Yuuji could plunder power from multiple timelines, but extracting chakra directly from the dream world was more complex, potentially requiring Kazue's eyes to send his clones into that world.
The God of Chakra fell silent and continued the battle without further words.
Those still alive could see the God of Chakra weakening; unlike at the start, it was no longer an equal match for Yuuji. The divine body became increasingly dim as its chakra reserves rapidly depleted, with defeat becoming a matter of time.
Indeed, the God of Chakra had no other strategies left. No matter how powerful, a being that had only recently come into existence, lacked the depth and had virtually no contingency plans. It could only rely on what the Otsutsuki clan had prepared in advance.
"Even gods need time to accumulate power and backups. I am stronger than you because I prepared for decades longer," Yuuji proclaimed as he punched through the body of the God of Chakra.
The God of Chakra was running out of chakra even to maintain its formidable form, growing weaker with each blow.
The God of Chakra remained silent, gazing at the fragmented spaces behind Yuuji, where Planet Godzilla was busily devouring the Ten-Tails.
This child of an alternate universe, Earth, had swallowed a dozen Ten-Tails in one go. This creature would have been even stronger if the God of Chakra had not absorbed the others.
Even so, the changes in Planet Godzilla were evident, notably in its size and the seemingly flame-like, semi-ethereal nature of its skin, which looked more like it was made of energy. The ridges on the dorsal fin have become sharper now.
In those azure eyes, there is a faint power gestating, which comes from the genes of many Ten-Tails.
"You're thinking of absorbing that creature? Forget it. It's not easy to deal with, and I won't let you," Yuuji pummeled the God of Chakra into an increasingly translucent state.
"My chakra tells me it all started because of it," the God of Chakra fixated on Planet Godzilla, young but acutely aware of the marks of time on Planet Godzilla, which was over twenty thousand years old—slow in power development, yet still desirable to the newborn god.
It was unlikely the God of Chakra would witness much more history, facing imminent demise.
It's hard to imagine what kind of universe would give rise to such a creature.
"You're wrong again; it all started not with Planet Godzilla but with me!" Yuuji stepped forward, tearing the God of Chakra in two, and said flatly, "Without me, it wouldn't have made it this far but would have stayed in another universe and been killed by that universe's overlord."
"Without it lending you power, you wouldn't have been able to rise in Konoha."
"Oh? You know of Konoha?"
"I've gathered stray chakra, some of which comes from your planet," the God of Chakra responded.
"I live, and all this has meaning; Planet Godzilla's existence and growth have meaning. I die, and everything else is meaningless," Yuuji said with an authoritative grasp on the world, unreasonable and oppressive.
The God of Chakra had no words left, nor could it speak.
It had been shattered by Yuuji and absorbed into his body.
Countless cells voraciously consumed the chakra, dissipating from the God of Chakra, feasting on it. Yuuji carefully ensured there was no chance for the God of Chakra to reincarnate within him, and he would be extremely cautious in every step.
Finally, after several days, Yuuji finally confirmed that he had absorbed the God of Chakra's essence and core consciousness.
"It seems we've won. Worthy of my brother, eliminating such a powerful deity," Kabuto approached carefully, avoiding vast spatial rifts, and exclaimed joyously.
"It can be considered eliminated, but I can feel that the guy is not dead."
Yuugi smiled, "Its spiritual imprint is attached to every strand of chakra. One day, if someone can kill me and assemble most of the chakra bearing its mark, it might be resurrected."
"What should we do then? It seems I need to study how to erase the spiritual imprint from chakra thoroughly."
"Suit yourself."
Yuugi shook his head, smiling.
Whether the God of Chakra was truly dead no longer mattered to him.
Indeed, the God of Chakra wasn't entirely dead; theoretically, it always had a chance to resurrect—somewhat like Kaguya, who, as long as the nine fragments of her immortal chakra exist, remains immortal and can potentially revive.
But a theory is a theory after all. If we rely solely on theory to determine the changes in external things, it will be completely messed up.
"If I ever become so weak that these countless, leaderless fragments consume me, it only shows my incompetence, and I deserve to be killed."
Yuugi was at peace with this as long as he remained firm, maintained his peak, and continually strived for higher levels. The God of Chakra's spiritual imprint would indefinitely shrink within him.
Eventually, when Yuuji discovers a more robust and efficient transcendental system, he might opt to discard a portion of the chakra.
It was inevitable.
"I look forward to it. We no longer have opponent in this universe, but who knows how many universes exist beyond ours."
Yuugi's gaze stretched far beyond.
"So, what do you mean, sir?"
More and more people gathered around Yuuji.
Yuugi smiled, "For now, let's sweep through this universe. Everyone masters spatial abilities as soon as possible and spreads out to find more life-bearing planets. I need endless natural energy to enhance myself."
Kazue opens her Rinnegan, and a hint of desire appears in her eyes, "Once we've accumulated enough power, we should be able to settle the score with that three-headed dragon, right?"
"Yes, as far as I know, that universe hosts many monsters like Planet Godzilla, fully satisfying your desires," Yuuji explained.
This battle was brutal. Yuuji's flesh-and-blood planet suffered severe losses, and more than half of its life forms and their souls dissipated, unable to revive. Another significant portion fell into the shattered void of space, lost to the corners of the universe.
But the results of victory were enough to justify everything. It was time to reap the fruits of victory.
Without much rest, the flesh-and-blood planet was on the move again. Its mighty warriors opened spatial gates under Yuuji's order, seeking more life-bearing planets.
Those planets faced a destined, despair-filled future, deeper and more terrifying than an apocalypse.
But Yuuji cared little for the fate of those beings and focused solely on the distance. His vision had long surpassed the limits of ordinary life's understanding.
"That guy, he's doing worse than us, the Otsutsuki," Kaguya remarked complexly.
Indra and Asura, holding their grandmother's head, watched together, unsure what to say.
After a long while.
"He defeated the God of Chakra and nearly annihilated the Otsutsuki clan, leaving us no choice but to follow him."
"And he also has that adversary called King Ghidorah. Without him, our universe would have been occupied and ruled from the beginning..."
Indra and Asura said helplessly.
They had no choice.
Either be devoured by the God of Chakra, ruled by Yuuji, or enslaved by the invading King Ghidorah.
Either way, it seemed there was no good end—just a question of which was slightly less wrong.
As for which was worse... with the God of Chakra dead, it wasn't hard to compare Yuuji and King Ghidorah.
They didn't know the outcome of siding with King Ghidorah, but now it seemed being ruled by Yuuji was undoubtedly the worst scenario.
Indra and others couldn't understand why Yuuji's actions were so aggressive, nor could they comprehend the world truth of entropy increase—all things will inevitably explode unless they throw away garbage and plunder the outside world.
But Yuuji understood; he just couldn't be bothered to explain to these individuals, not wanting to waste time and energy.
One planet after another suffered greatly; the better-off ones were drained of natural energy, with a few survivors left struggling on desertified planets. The worse-off ones saw their planets consumed, life obliterated.
As time passed, the universe's remaining life-bearing planets gradually realized a terrifying group was hunting them.
Yuuji's name, along with his plunderous actions, officially spread across the universe.
Countless natives worshipped him as a dreadful demon god, the end of the world. They set up his idols, and next, they placed a statue of a peculiar lizard-like beast.
But sadly, all this was futile, only allowing these natives to feel a pilgrim's joy as they embraced their end.
Yuuji's power also grew rapidly during this process; his path forward had no bottlenecks or constraints, just continuous power accumulation.
As he grew stronger, naturally, Yuuji could touch countless dimensions, deploying his power to every corner.
He was becoming ever more powerful.
Decades passed in a blink.
During this time, Yuuji repelled two more invasions from King Ghidorah, killing two of its projections.
"That beast is smart, knowing to send projections to scout my capabilities," Yuuji scoffed.
Its purpose was just to understand the changes in Yuuji's strength.
"I think that guy is shocked. My strength expanded too fast." Yuuji clenched his fist.
How long did it take for King Ghidorah to become the high-dimensional overlord of the Monsterverse?
From the conventional time of the universe, it seems to be hundreds of millions of years.
However, time cannot be calculated in this way.
For example, Planet Godzilla destroyed human civilization and drove away three civilizations, including human civilization. It stayed on Earth for 20,000 years, assimilated the entire Earth's ecosystem, and gave birth to a 50-meter-tall creature—the multi-dimensional sub-body Godzilla.
For Planet Godzilla it is over 20,000 years old.
But for the three major civilizations that fled, it has only been a short time.
Their three civilizations, with a combined population of several thousand, all used spaceships to sail at sub-light speeds, and they only escaped for a short time.
When the Earth's heroes chose to return to Earth to fight to the death, they discovered that 20,000 years had passed on Earth.
King Ghidorah is theoretically more than 100 million years old, but he stays in high-dimensional space and time all year round, so time is probably a false proposition to him.
What's more, between two different universes, it is even more difficult to use a simple "year" to judge the concept of time. There is a lack of a suitable reference.
But even so, Yuuji firmly believes that his growth will definitely make King Ghidorah restless.
"Perhaps in that guy's opinion, he had just been defeated once in the ninja world, and he immediately sent a new projection over, and was killed by me again, and then he continued to throw out projections without stopping..."
But in the Monsterverse, King Ghidorah might have consumed more monsters in what felt like a blink of an eye to him.
Yuugi was tired of wasting time on King Ghidorah's projections.
Soon, he would launch an invasion towards another universe.
"The rule of this universe is to absorb natural energy and leave behind chakra seeds, which will eventually allow all living things to refine chakra on their own."
"Then, according to the rules of another universe, the mother planet of a technological civilization will inevitably give birth to monsters that destroy the technological civilization... I will be able to see it with my own eyes soon."
