Gabby pulled Ron up the stairs of the safe house, she tried the doorknob but it wouldn't turn. Her eyes grew panicked as she glanced back at Ron seeing his face scrunched up in pain now that the adrenaline was fading and blood continued to soak his arm sleeve, with one swift motion she tore off the soaked sleeve and used it to slow the bleeding.
"Aye, be careful this suit cost me a copper and a silver" Ron joked wincing as she tightened up the cloth above him wound
She glared at him which shut him up before getting back to trying to find a way into the house.
"Hey! Hold on im coming!" The same male voice from before came from behind them
She looked back and was met with Aiden running towards him, as he got closer she could tell he wasn't in good shape. His clothes were torn and he had a cut on his face with fresh blood still pouring out of the wound, he was fumbling with something in his hand. Closer inspection alongside the familiar sound of clicking metal it didn't take long for her to realize it was keys.
She made space for him to pass, Aiden hastily moved past them opening up the door, letting the couple rush in.
"Sit him down on the sofa, I use to be a nurse so I can treat him" Aiden instructed
Doing as told she sat Ron down on the sofa and moved away to give Aiden space to treat him, Aiden rushed out of the bathroom holding a tray of medical supplies, consisting of a needle and thread, bandages, and what Gabby assumed was alcohol to clean the wound. He sat the tray down on the long table behind him, he went right to work treating Ron's wounds, Gabby stood to Ron's left side.
Ron's none injured hand holding her for support "I was hoping you wouldn't need stitches but you have to in order for the wound to properly heal" Aiden said after the long silence
"Do you have anything to numb my arm?" Was Ron's immediate response
Aiden shook his head "unfortunately not, you have to power through it"
"I know you can power through this, after all, you did just jump to of a two for building" Gabby joked in an effort to lighten the mood and reassured him with a tight hand squeeze.
Ron smiled up at her giving a squeeze of his own before he looked back at Aiden nodding his head he was read, Aiden could tell by the tension in his face that he was gritting his teeth. Without another word he prepped his needles and thread and begin working, Gabby couldn't help but look away, she cringed at the sight of the needles going in and out of Ron's arm. Every now and then Ron would squeeze Gabby's hand for support and she would do so back, the room was silent as Aiden worked.
A few minutes later the stitching was done and Aiden cleaned the blood off the top of the wound and warped Ron's arm with bandages, by this point Gabby's gaze was back on Ron. She hated to see him in pain but at least this wasn't life-threatening, Ron caught her gaze after inspecting his arm.
"Don't worry, I'm fine" He grinned flexing his not wounded arm and gesturing to his muscles with his head " I'm a big strong boy, I can deal with a lil pain"
Gabby rolled her eyes, she forgot who she was talking to, Ron was a total muscle head with a brain to match his Braun. Of course, something like this wouldn't stop him, since she no longer needed to stand she let go of his hand and sat in the wooden chair Aiden once was sitting only minutes ago. The two were too caught up with each other to notice that Aiden left the room to put up the medical supplies and entered the room. Holding another tray this time had to plates of sandwiches and cups of wanted.
"I wasn't sure if you guys maybe hungry, so I made sandwiches " Aiden announced surprising the two, he sat the food and water on the table and placed the tray under his arm "we also have to chat about what we discussed at the party"
Ron was quick to lean forward to grab the sandwich off the table but pause when Auden brought up the subject, Gabby was lost on that subject so she chose to stay silent for now and let them talk.
"oh right, right" Ron nodded remembering what we're talking about, taking a quick bite out of the sandwich he began to talk "Well, at the party I was hoping for you to be able to join me and Gabby..." He paused swallowing the bute of sandwich he was chewing "in the goal of dethroning the current king"
Just then the tray Aiden was holding under his arm dropped, his eyes were wide shocked "When you said it at the party I thought you were joking but you're really trying to dethrone the king?!" Aiden exclaimed, he ran his finger through his hair in thought before shaking his head "you're crazy if you think I'm a join this, so you realize the severity of your statement!"
Ron chuckled sheepishly "Hold on, maybe I Said that wrong" he was silent for a bit to rethink his words "in a few months the king is hosting a competition for the crown, we all know the King has no heirs, so he decided for people all over to fight over the position. My goal is to win the competition and talk my place in the thrown."
"Okay, so why do you need me?" Aiden asked confused
"Yeah, well things have gotten complicated, I asked you cause I wanted to rally supporters the more people I have supporting my dream the better and worse scenario I might have to force the king off the thoron and which strong allies I should be able to do it, after all, bottom line the current king is scum. there are many people who want to see him fall and I can be the person to lead them" Ron explained pausing briefly to let Aiden take in his words before continuing "But now like I said before thing got complicated, now me and Gabby was framed by who and why I don't know, either way I can't compete if I have a bounty on my head."
"I get that sure a bit convoluted but I get it but you still haven't answered my question, why did you come up to me specifically?" Aiden asked confused
"Well, I just had a good feeling about you" Ron added simply
Aiden's face scrunched up in confusion and looked to Gabby who was silently munching on the other sandwich for some guidance but she was as clueless as he was, so she replied to his look with a shrug and continued eating. sometimes you just have to go along with whatever Ron says, sometimes it doesn't make a lot of sense but somehow it worked out in the end.
"Okay...? " was all Aiden could utter
" Plus you seem like a good guy, you wouldn't have helped us out if you weren't especially since the guard was after us, I can tell your again the kings Bullshit too so join us once I'm king I'll change everything for the better but first we have to find out why we were framed "
"let me think about it, this is a lot to take in all at once" Aiden signed clearly frustrated and confused "you guys can stay here for the night and ill give you my answer in the morning, I'll take you to the guest bedroom"
