"Zari." Lord Kodin said just as Zariah arrived behind him.
"Uncle Kodin." Zariah said in response, coming to a halt beside the head of the supernatural council.
The two fell into silence for a time, Lord Kodin staring out ahead as he had been before Zariah arrived.
Zariah found Lord Kodin's silence unnerving, she was grateful he had not revealed her true identity but she understood it was also because he could not explain how he had come to know Alpha Zewin Moonstone's daughter.
Once or twice, Alpha Zewin Moonstone had ventured out of the Crimson barrier, but right from birth, Zariah had never left the Crimson Barrier.
Most people did not even know Alpha Zewin had passed on and was already succeeded by his daughter as all Crimson Alphas bore the name Alpha Moonstone.
