Chapter 29 - You Can't Escape, Even If You Die!

A few years before the paranormal era, humans lived in ignorance of the world concealed in the darkness. They were unaware of the mythical creatures living among them, creatures who were fighting for their own survival in a world full of enemies.

Elves, Dwarfs, Vampires, Werewolves... each and every supernatural being hidden in the shadows.

This all stopped when the calamity arrived and cosmic energy swept through earth, finally awakening the potential of the hidden creatures, giving them abilities to help fight against their enemies.

Fire, Earth, Water Air - Basic innate abilities

Lightning, Frost, Metal, Light, Darkness - Intermediate innate abilities

Chaos, Space, Time, Sound - Advanced innate abilities

Blood, Soul, Life, Death - Special innate abilities

Soon enough, the more powerful creatures like Elves, Vampires, Werewolves, Dwarfs and Dragon were able to claim new territories, while the weaker like Imps, goblins and zombies were left wandering aimlessly in the world without able to claim any major territory.

The paranormal became the norm for the beings of the universe, with various ancient races like gods sitting at the apex. Other beings like legends, rulers, and emperors were right below the gods, helping the gods keep the peace while earning some blessings in return.

Before Luke was one of the dimensional legendary grade species, a stunningly beautiful dimensional Metal Spirit! It is said that their claws could ruthlessly tear through most armour, while their metallic skin was nearly impenetrable!

"What are you doing here? Creatures like you aren't supposed to be on this part of the world. Also tell me the reason why you were watching us... and how in heavens name did you get here?!" Luke asked as his gaze turned sharp, a single word out of place from the Spirit's lips, and he'll instantly split her head apart! He wasn't the same immature and naive little boy, he was Luke, the god of chaos!

"Yawn... Why would I waste my time on..." The Metal Spirit suddenly caught sight of Luke's long and sharp ears, then she froze, before asking with a smile, "I didn't know they were elves on this particular part of the world. And an elf with glowing black eyes... Hmm, you're not a woodland elf, interesting."

"Shut up, and tell me what I need to know. I heard Metal Spirit Claws can be used to forge a very sharp and durable blade." Luke had a curious expression as he spoke, unable to hide the foxy gleam in his black eyes.

Luke had now become a sly fox... like father like son. If Halifax could see Luke now, he would surely be partying for years and no one would hear the end of it!

The Metal Spirit was fairly shocked, was this idiot trying to threaten her? Does he want to die?

"Hmm, doesn't a Metal Spirit's heart sell for about ten to twenty million? That's quite a pitiful sum, but I'll have it." Luke said as he shrugged while wearing a mask of helplessness.

"How dare you!" The Metal Spirit was furious, as her metallic chest heaved up and down. Her race have never been disrespected in such a manner, and by such a young daring creature!

Her eyes shone as energy surged wildly within her, shooting up through every part of her body to her brain, strengthening her already strong cells as let out a satisfied sigh. In not less than a second, the Metal Spirit began to radiate a tyrannical and murderous aura, as a cold red mist slowly encased her hands.

After examining the enemy's aura, Lucas sneered in his heart. She was really just at the legend level, and nothing more! She was definitely no match for him!

He was a god, a being beyond the laws of this fragile world, not an elf, not a human, a true god! A dimensional being who was still in the legend grade was not, and will never be a match for him!

Internal To External - Chaotic Explosion!

Like a nuclear explosion from the ancient world, Luke's entire soul suddenly released the vast and boundless power suppressed within. The Metal Spirit was unable to even resist the sudden aura explosion, so she was brutally blown away like a ragged doll.

Luke nearly jumped to her rescue, but he managed to restrain himself.

Since when did the good guy jump over to save the bad guy from dying? Oh, fuck it, this isn't a novel, who cares?

Luke then stretched out his hands and grabbed the Spirit mid-air, making her spit out a mouthful of blood as her flight was abruptly put to a stop. She was shocked to see a black mist wrapping around her like a snake, but was even more shocked to see the strange elf clenching his fist...

Was the elf controlling the mist? Why did he help her? Was he a g -good elf?

B-But that power...

Only his aura was enough to knock me into the air, would a punch or kick taste any better? The Metal Spirit shivered uncontrollably before finally calming down, luckily she wasn't here to cause trouble or else...

'Whew, I nearly crushed her there. I should ask her some questions before doing anything stupid, she is no longer useful when dead.' Luke patted his chest inside after successfully grabbing The Metal Spirit with the strange black mist. Luke was now very adept in the control of chaos energy, so the moment she started harbouring chaotic thoughts, he quickly materialised it as the black mist and wrapped it around her in seconds.

"Why -why did you save me? Don't tell me that you're afraid of breaking me by mistake?" The Metal Spirit said as she glared at Luke, trying to suppress the raging storm within her heart.

"What if I acknowledged what you just said might be true? I'm not a monster, I can't just kill anything unlawfully, besides you haven't hurt anyone... yet" Luke's sharp gaze was fixed on the Metal Spirit as a smile surfaced on his face. The chaos energy he received from her was enormous, it seems like she's holding a deep dark secret and my presence has caused various chaotic thoughts to awaken in her heart.

"Hehe, now tell me. How and why are you here? Please speak quickly, I cannot suppress my killing intent for much longer." Luke had a soft smile on his face, but in the Metal Spirit's eyes, he was a demon that now had her life held before her face.

She had two choices... Talk or Die... and there must be no foul play or doom is imminent.

This was the true power of primordial chaos... it was an instinct, an urge, a darkness, a whisper in your worst nightmare...

'You can't escape, even if you die!'
