Brandon woke up from his sleep after hearing a mechanical voice. It was early, just after midnight, it was the beginning of June and he had just graduated from high school last week. When he woke up he noticed a translucent screen in his vision.

"What is this?" Brandon, was confused. He though he was hallucinating so he went back to sleep and woke up again a few hours later at 6 in the morning. When he woke up this time he still saw the translucent screen of the system.
"I wasn't hallucinating?" Brandon asked, speaking to no one in particular when the system responded.

He was startled by the response but still asked,

He noticed that the system had actually been generating the income ever since it initially bound to him since he had an extra $200 in his net worth as apposed to the cash he already had on hand. He also noticed that he had a mission which was to earn $1,000, so he still needed to earn another $800. He would need another 22 hours before the system would generate that on its own, however he wanted to try to finish the mission sooner so he could see what it would reward him.
Brandon decided he would go around his neighborhood and offer to do miscellaneous yard work, cutting grass, sweeping the driveways and such. Typically you could earn $10 to $30 each depending on the size of the lawn in the neighborhood he lived in. Each lawn would usually only take 30 minutes or so to finish, and he could do 5 or 6 lawns a day. that would bring him roughly an extra $120 on average if he managed to get 6 lawns in a day. That would mean he still had to wait for 19 hours before he reached the $1,000 mark of the mission.
After he finished cutting the lawns he returned home. His parents were divorced and he lived with just his mother.
"Mom, I'm back!"
"How did it go?"
"I managed to cut 6 lawns today, the others didn't seem to need it or the declined my offer to cut them."
"That's good. Go get washed up, dinner will be ready soon."
"Okay, Thank you."
After getting out of the shower Brandon went back to his room and checked the system again to see his progress in the mission, it was already 5 in the afternoon so he had also made more money from the passive income the system gave him on top of what he made cutting lawns..
