Chereads / Alexander Creed: Re-Life / Chapter 102 - Balanced Fishing and Business

Chapter 102 - Balanced Fishing and Business

The filming of the sci-fi scenes ensued and just like many movie scenes to be filmed, it could go on for long.

Eventually, it took an entire 5 days until director Zemeckis gave an okay to everything with regards to the entire time-travel sequence.

Marty was finally jumped to 1955 after a car chase with the Libyan terrorists and the production would eventually be amped up and changed to fit the 1955 era.

Everyone around during that filming process was disappointed that the behind-the-scenes events ruined the magic for them but it was still worth looking forward to the final post-produced effects.

Eventually, the production process went stable again and everyone needed for the next parts was preparing themselves.

Of course, Alexander was a lurker and a concept adviser once again.

It had to be said that his sketches had formed the basis for the environments and props that were made so Innovative Rob was quite in need of his assistance.

Back to the Future is now considered to be an adaptation after all and an adapted movie needs the input of the originator.

Still, the synergistic effect of plunderer and the passion of true creator worked out quite well.

The 1955 Hill Valley filming needed a lot of coordination work and set reworking to be made happen.

Aside from Alexander's 1955 sketches, Innovative Rob also had 1955 historical consultants on set and the accuracy of things was shot up by another factor.

Anyways, the Ronald Reagan humorous lines were in place from the script and all that was needed to be kinked out was the timepiece accurate cars and props.

The 1955 timeline shootage also made use of a lot of suggestive elements that would remind film watchers to remember and associate things with that time period.

It is kind of like easter eggs that the MCU and all the cinematic universe follow-ups that made use of such clue-associating inserts to everything.

1955 also happens to be the connective timeline among the three films. It was the starting point for part III but it was the highlights of part I and part II.

Pre-time travel Marty was lost and confused in this era and Almanac fighting Marty also happen to return in this era.

There was no need to wait among films and take turns to film those highlights. The back-to-back production already got that covered in one full sweep.

Also, with the reworked script, some weird 'easter eggs' of parts II and III would be included in part 1 to improve coherency and all that.

It would only be superficial though but anyone who was hawk-eyed enough to notice it would find that they would be rewarded with a higher appreciation for the trilogy's being connected overall.

Anyways, the filming went on and the set replacements have worked out quite nicely and are suited to Innovative Rob's convenience and liking.

No doubt Old Producer Sullivan and semi-producer Curious Bob had done a lot of prep work and detail management.

------

As the days went on, Alexander finally found his way in between all the busyness of everything so far.

He had finally found a much laidback approach and scheduling when it comes to his filming mode and balance mode.

Whenever he is needed, he was there to oversee what he could glimpse from it.

Whenever he is not, RoboCop and Predator making was there to keep him preoccupied. The updates on Creed Comics still ensued and the 2 new titles are already set up until their schedules debuts finally arrived.

Alexander had already done a lot of legwork and preparation for both titles and it should be enough for his comic-making team to develop it from the outline excerpts he has given them.

Of course, he also didn't forget to do his overseeing editorial work to help ensure that the final product was quite satisfactory for him.

Mr and Ms. 1s to 5 had already gotten some gists of what he wants and what he dislikes when it comes to comic books, so whenever it reaches his level, not a lot of corrections need to be done.

Of course, to facilitate that current exchanges also had something to do with Miss Galina who took it to herself to be a carrier of sorts. She drives Alexander around after all and knows the shortened routes to get around Creed Comics HQ and Universal Studios Lot.

Also, Milla happened to be in an acting summer school, so she had a lot of free time in her hands.

Alexander was even considering giving her a change of designation from Miss Babysitter to Miss Driver or Miss Messenger.

From all of these, the summer balance between film and comics was achieved, and perhaps only the upcoming September school openings would disrupt it.

-----

As balance mode was ensued, Old Sullivan was finally back from his Old West BttF set preparations.

"Hi, grandpa. Is everything ready over there?" Alexander asked the old man who had just arrived.

"It's getting there." Sullivan smiled in response as he was quite pleased with how things are moving forward.

This was his film company's first works after all and it would be the perfect start if all his preparations and expected success trajectories are right on the dot.

Back to the Future was the ambitious debut of Creed Pictures and Sullivan didn't want to shame himself in front of his grandson.

Old Creed just got word from his many 'spies' in Creed Comics and knew that its sales were already neck and neck with Marvel Comics.

It was clear that the un-limited prints of Volume Books had made things open up. Having limited single issues and being unable to sell at newsstands is the only reason why Creed Comics is being outsold after all.

The rising market was hungered by the limited copies they were getting that when the avenue of owning long-lasting copies appeared, they can't help but be attracted and come in droves.

Sullivan remembered teaching Alex at the start of school break about somewhat starving an entire fish pond and when the juicy food was finally thrown into the water, the fish can't help but school towards it. The net just has to be in place and the fish won't know what they're headed for.

It was just Old Creed's ideology between fishing and business yet the boy used it when dealing with the comics industry.

Alexander perfectly sated and starved the nerd fishes and when the juicy bait was finally thrown, they didn't even mind the entrapping net that the bait was for.

The boy even went further with it as the entrapping net was laced with juicy enticement as well that the fish probably don't mind being in it.

Limited single issues were the balanced diet between hunger and being fed. Volume Books were the bait and the entrapping net was the fact that nerds can't help but want for more.

It probably wasn't as exaggerated as that but it was a testament to how Alexander was just too prolific, talented, and skilled in the old Creed's opinion.

It was just the comic book industry and old Creed didn't want to be beaten in the film industry.
