Ash was going to ask Grim about the surge of energy that he was feeling from their link after the fight. He had a guess that it was related to the burst of white in the bird's eye when it fought sometimes.
"Darn it, I need to gain a proper movement skill or a long-range attack. I can't get in range of the stupid thing even when it has an injured leg."
Ash was seeing his shortcomings more and more as the fight progressed. It was wary after being injured and made sure to stay out of his range.
The goat blasted [love dust] at him again but this time he saw a flash. Dodging out of the way he rolled only to hear the sound of cutting wind. Raising his blade, an [air blade] hit his saber. Ash flew back but flipped mid-air and dug his heels into the ground, stopping the momentum.
That attack could've cut him in half had he not reacted fast enough. Pissed, Ash stood firm, and put is saber back in it's sheath. He looked forward and stared straight at the lascivious creature that was waving it's long tongue excitedly.
Ash held tight to the sheath and handle of his weapon. He used [flash point] once already and it already put strain on his dominant arm. The technique could only be used once more, and Ash was going to try it one more time. He had enough, no more losing and no more running. A light was emitted from Ash and Grim's bond that neither realized.
A pale white light flowed through the link, hitting both parties. Ash was giving off a strong fighting aura that increased the flow of the light to both parties.
Ash had one leg forward and the other back as support. A visible wave was rippling under his skin. Flexing all the muscles in his left arm, core, and back.
The creature sensing the human's attack sent forth a volley of [love dust]. Ash stood rooted and when hit with the attacks, didn't even respond but let out a deep breath as he launched his attack.
Different from last time was the seemingly slow exit of saber from sheath. Contrarily, the saber was moving fast as it tore through the air. A burst of white energy traveled in a beam right to the goat's skull.
The goat could tell it would not be able to dodge but still sent another volley of [love dust] to Ash. With no surprise, both attacks landed on each other. The goat being killed and Ash standing perfectly still but with a now bloody left arm.
