Prologue
Bianna was given a condition not to bear her demon child. Her demon baby was left at a dark forest in the cold rain to perish to death and Kerusba an evil demon snatches the child with him to an unknown demonic kingdom and watched after him till he grew up. Kerusba named him Halx meaning, 'resurrected evil'.
Halx was roaming the kingdom of Akaira looking for a human being to kill when he spotted an astonishing princess, princess Kalia getting chased by a bear and he kills the bear hurling it with a violent wind.
Kalia saw the wind vanishing and was trying to go after it and she fell in love hoping to find the person who saved her life.
Every night she sneaked out of the palace to the forest hoping to see the person who rescued her dreaming that he'll be a handsome well-built man but was shocked when she finds out that he is rather a demon and has already fallen for him and Halx tries not to fall in love with her.
Chapter 1
The Newborn
Bianna lied in a bed in quite a huge bedroom screaming her lungs out trying to give birth. She was drenched in sweat and she was feeling a pang of pain in her waist. Crimson blood was trickling through her thighs in streams and her jet-black hair was getting ruffled as it was rolling as she was raising her head up and down. She was encircled by a few ladies who assist pregnant women during labor.
The room was quite hot and the wind was blowing mildly. The midwives looked quite exhausted from trying to get Bianna deliver. Bianna has been trying to deliver since eight hours and it's quite startling that she had not passed out yet.
Mielia, the head of women in Akaira Kingdom has been waiting at the second room feeling quite troubled about Bianna. She paraded back and forth furrowing her eyebrows wearing a mint green gown and a pair of brown boots.
Lily her personal assistant stepped into the room and she glanced at her and sighed, "relax lady Mielia all will be fine."
Mielia paused, "how can I relax when it's been eight hours and Bianna has not yet given birth? This is the first time in this kingdom that a labor exceeds this long."
"Lady Mielia have a bit more of patience. Don't be too frightened."
"What if Bianna doesn't make it?" Mielia looked into her eyes and Lily felt quite jittery.
The sun was slowly going down and the sky came out pale and grey.
Bianna was slowly running short of breath, her lungs were giving out and she dropped her back on the bed. She suddenly felt a scorching fire penetrating into her chest and to her eyes. Her eyes froze and fire was gleaming in her eyeballs and her lips abruptly opened.
The midwives were bowing their head staring at the baby moving out.
A demon appeared into the room in a black cloak. His claws streaked to his hips, and he has feet without toes. Two protracted incisors hung in his mouth, and his mouth was drenched with crimson blood. His nose is thin, his eyes deep and steep, his eyeballs bright grey, and his ears large and curvy.
Kerusba, the demon's name. He gazed at Bianna's womb with fury in his eyes, "I own you. I am yours and it is time for you to come out little me. You are my body and my blood. Together, you and I will rule this kingdom with darkness."
Kerusba muttered some incantations, "keli rili masa pali

The baby unexpectedly gushed out of Bianna's womb and it suddenly started to rain cats and dogs. The wind was husky and fierce it thrusted the sealed windows open. The midwives were startled by the breeze and quivered. The wind was lifting and hurling the pillows, tables, chairs and any little items around. The thunder roared and it reverberated in their ears.
Kerusba chuckled and wafted towards the baby. He fondled his cheeks with his finger and smiled wildly, "you and I will be together soon little me."
Kerusba disappeared.
Soon as Kerusba vanished, Bianna no more felt fire in her chest and she rolled her eyes as she could now move them.
"My...my baby." Bianna muttered.
Cecilia and Jeen the midwives tried to walk towards the windows to shut them. The powerful wind was trying to shove them backwards. Strands of their hair was rolling across their face and neck and they trudged reaching the window.
Betty the other midwife tried to listen to Bianna's voice amidst the noisy wind.
"Your baby?" Betty asked and Bianna nodded.
Betty gently carried the child in her arms and looked at him. Her eyes widened with shock and she gawked.
Bianna's heart was grasped by fear staring at the impression on Betty's face and was guessing that the baby might be dead.
Cecilia and Jeen jerked the windows and hastily locked it up.
"Ooh!" They puffed out and turned from the window to them.
"It ain't easy." Said Jeen.
Jeen and Cecilia looked at Bianna and glanced at the baby in Betty's arms and they were frightened by the features he has.
His ears were quite vast, his eyeballs huge, his lips quite wide and his body looked greenish.
Bianna felt restive staring at their faces, "what's going on? Can someone tell me? Is my baby dead?"
"Are you a demon?" Asked Jeen.
"Demon?"
"Why is your baby unusual from a normal human being?"
"What are you talking about?" Bianna shouted, "give me my baby I want to hold him."
"You can't he's a demon." Cecilia shouted.
"My baby is not a demon!"
Jeen signaled to Betty to show her the baby and Betty nodded and advanced to Bianna. She paused besides her and Bianna stretched her hand to him and paused feeling surprised looking at him.
Tears welled up in Bianna's eyes and she muttered, "why is my baby looking like this?"
She went down memory lane of seven months ago. It was a fluorescent morning. Bianna arrived at a soothsayer's house with her husband, Cleo. The soothsayer, Jerelo offered them a seat in his small livingroom
Bianna sat on a bench besides Cleo grinning from ear to ear.
"Why have you come?" Jerelo's voice was quite stiff.
Bianna slipped her hand into Cleo's.
"We want to know the sex of our baby."
"Yeah. Bianna has been so keen to know its gender and she's hoping that it will be a baby boy but I want a baby girl." Cleo added.
Jerelo laid his hands on Bianna's stomach and his eyes were shut.
An image of several dead bodies lying on the floor and a demon standing around them was flashing in his mind. Feeling horrified, Jerelo jerked and dropped his hands off Bianna's stomach and quickly opened his eyes.
Jerelo was silent.
"What did you see?" Asked Cleo excitedly.
"What's the sex?" Bianna raised her brow.
"It's gonna be a boy."
"Yes!" Bianna exclaimed.
"But do not bear him cause if you do, he's going to spread evil and terror and he will be merciless."
"What!" Bianna exclaimed.
"Your child is cursed before it even started getting formed in your womb. Kill it, do not bear it. He's evil, a demon."
Bianna jolted out of her thoughts and she shook her head, "whatever you guys say, my baby is not a demon."
Cecilia frowned upon Bianna, "whatever you say doesn't matter. We will only consider what lady Mielia thinks about it."
"H-hold on, " Betty felt jumpy, "let's not tell lady Mielia she might give a strict order. This baby is still Bianna's child."
"An evil baby that will cause havoc if it's not killed." Jeen shouted.
"No one is harming my baby boy." Bianna felt jittery and tears was welling in her eyes.
***fifteen minutes after***
Cecilia arrived Mielia's chamber carrying Bianna's baby in her arms. The baby was wrapped around with a white blanket. Cecilia was quite surprised to find the room quiet and lonely.
She heard footsteps approaching the room and she turned hoping to see Mielia but it was Lily instead.
Lily glanced at Cecilia's arms and smiles tilted the corners of her lips and she gasped, "has Bianna given birth already?"
"Where is lady Mielia?"
"She's at the cave."
Cecilia stepped out of the room.
Bianna stood in front of Jeen folding her hands saying with a pleading voice, "please don't let her...she should not get to lady Mielia. Please persuade her not to tell lady Mielia about my baby." Tears trickled down Bianna's cheeks.
"Why beg me? Why not beg Betty?"
"You are her closest friend, she might listen to you if you talk to her. You are a mother like me Jeen, you should understand the pain losing a child."
Staring at Bianna's drenched eyes, Jeen's heart sank and she patted her shoulders and looked into her eyes, "it's alright. I will stop Cecilia from taking your baby to lady Mielia, " she dropped her hands off her shoulders, "I'll be back."
"Thank you." Bianna smiled.
Jeen stepped out of the room walking towards Mielia's bedroom.
Cecilia arrived at the cave. A staircase flows from the lair towards the living room. Cecilia walked through the stairs and stepped into the cave.
Mielia was sitting on a bench besides a fire to keep herself warm from the chilling breeze.
Mielia excitedly sprang up to her feet soon as she detected Cecilia walking in.
"She has given birth?"
"Yea but there is something that you need to know. The baby is a demon."
"What!" Mielia exclaimed, "a demon?"
Cecilia nodded and she slowly rolled out the blanket from his face. Mielia's eyes widened in shock staring at the baby and she furrowed her eyebrows. She advanced towards Cecilia and carried the baby boy in her arms peering at him and she noticed a mark of a spider on his stomach and she gasped.
She suddenly felt dizzy as panic grasped her heart, "oh no!" She muttered.
Cecilia quickly held the baby as she noticed Mielia's hands slowly dropping. Bewildered by the look on Mielia's face, she asked, "what's wrong?"
Mielia paced back and forth squeezing her palms. Her heart was thumping against her ears.
Mielia paused, "that mark....it's so familiar. Late queen Lisa had that mark and it is in the exact spot on the baby where she had it."
Cecilia felt jittery, "what does that mean? That she has reincarnated from the dead? Is that why this baby resembles a demon?"
Mielia went down memory lane of three decades ago.
Three decades ago, King Fabian married Lisa and he coronated her queen of Akaira. Fabian always spoiled Lisa with the finest jewelries and the prettiest garments.
Fabian really liked his maid, Rebecca because she acted so kind and thoughtful towards him and he got obsessed with her, he proposed to her. Lisa was exasperated when she found out that Fabian was planning to take in a wife and she murdered Rebecca.
Fabian learned what Lisa have done and he had her buried alive on a frenzied windy evening. Mielia attended her burial, the cool wind was caressing her and ruffling her hair.
Mielia stood besides Fabian watching as the casket Lisa was put in was getting drenched in the mud.
Lisa screamed in the casket, and her voice was so audible they listened to her clearly.
"Mark my words Akaira Kingdom, I'm gonna return to ruin your life. I will snatch every life like you've snatched mine, I swear it!"
It suddenly started to rain heavily. The thunder clapped and the wind blew harshly with tremendous vitality.
Mielia jolted out of her reverie, "she did say that she will come back."
Cecilia panicked, "so what do we do with this child?"
"We kill him." Mielia firmly said.
"What!" Cecilia exclaimed, "he's Bianna's child."
"He's possessed by the demon of Lisa so he should not live."
