When I open my eyes, I see nothing but darkness. There is nothing in this void to draw your attention to anything, no sound, no feeling. That is until a blinding light filled the area. When my eyes adjusted, I saw a silhouette in the shape of a person before me. In wonder I saw the silhouette take the shape of a woman.
"Who are you?" I asked as she started walking towards me, "what is this place?'
'I am the goddess of life and death" she stopped in front of me, "and you're in my realm right now." She waved her hand and a table appeared beside us, "sit and we can talk."
"What do you mean," I asked, walking over to the table.
"Well, to put it bluntly, you died," she sat down and looked at me, "a while before your time actually, and I'm offering you an opportunity."
"What opportunity?" I pulled the chair out and sat down.
"Since you died before your time, I'm going to offer you the chance to start over in a new world," she looked me in the eye, "what do you say?" Considering my last life, and my regrets, the offer is really tempting. It would be a chance to be able to do things differently.
Making my decision, I looked at her, "I accept."
"Good choice, now I'll grant you three wishes as long as they are not too over powered," she said, sipping her tea.
"Do I get to keep my memories?" I asked, reaching for my cup as well. "Of course, I'll give you that one for free," she said after thinking about it, "oh and you can also choose your world without a wish as well."
"Okay I want to go to the world of Harry Potter, I want eidetic memory, the body/lifespan of an elf from the eragon series, and the infinite energy ability of the androids from dragonball z but with for mana instead of ki."
"Hmm, the world is easy to do as well as the first two, but that last one is difficult." She put her head on her hand as she thought about it, "okay so I'll grant them but the last one is that you'll not be able to use all of it, you would have to work on how much mama you'd be able to draw out to use, and starting off you'll only be able to use the normal amount for your age."
"Thank you," I said as I was starting to black out again.
