Chapter 3 - A weird declaration (3)

Alas, there always comes a time when people need to return from the world of dreams, so I had to.

Vlad suddenly woke up with only one thought in his mind - hunger. No, it was not a type of hunger one can sate by having snacks , so to speak, to kill a worm, it was an unbearable need.

Quickly getting off the bed, he rushes to the refrigerator and grabs the first thing that came to his hand, and it turned out to be an ordinary puff pastry pie. However, for some incomprehensible reason, he began to feel sick from its smell, (and no it hadn't gone bad). Deciding to attribute everything to stress, he slowly took a bite from the pie, but as soon as the food got into his mouth, he began to vomit. The feeling was different, and it was difficult to describe in words.

It seemed like his body rejects ordinary food, like it was never made for it.

"What's happening?" he thought aloud expecting someone to answer him. At the same moment, he felt unbearably thirsty and decided to moisten his throat with water, but he vomited again. The feeling was just disgusting.

Suddenly it seemed that someone was calling him. He quickly ran out of the house. The feeling that he felt earlier was now intensified, and then it became clear to him what it really was. It was bloodlust.

Suddenly, his eyes started glowing bright red, and fangs began to form in his mouth. Suprised by it, he ran, following a strong feeling, this bloodlust. It seemed that his mind was beginning to cloud over, the heady feeling completely swallowed him up, and it was starting to drive him crazy.

He ran and ran, losing track of time and trying to regain control of his body. At the same moment, when his eyes were completely reddened, a man passed by, who looked to be about thirty years old, but his appearance and everything else was of little to no interest to him, the only thing that mattered was his pulpy heart. Vlad couldn't understand why it was so attractive, but it seemed as if the stranger himself was offering him to finally satisfy his hunger. It was an indescribable feeling.

He stood up in his tracks and just continued to stare at the man, who tensed as he watched vlad's face contort into an eerie grimace. Of course, the young man was just smiling.....maybe, but the passer-by shuddered at the sight he saw. It seemed to him that in front of him was not a person, but a real monster, previously locked in a cage, and now out for blood.

"Wh-who are you?" The man asked, trying not to panic. But the bloodthirsty man ignored him, so they remained unanswered. As soon as the crimson eyed man stepped out of the shadows, a wild fright covered the man, he was completely stunned and did not understand what kind of monster was standing in front of him.

If we look at Vlad from a passer-by perspective, we will immediately understand the reason for him feeling fear.

His eyes sparkled, no, more precisely, they burned in a dazzling crimson color, his face was distorted by a devilish smile. But the man was not worried about his crimson eyes, what scared him were his fangs which were ready to devour.

As soon as the man saw his razor sharp canines, he laughed. "Yes, yes, can you imagine?" He really burst out laughing. So ironic, because just an hour ago, this man watched a horror movie about vampires and throughout the film laughed at their stupidity. No, it's not that he didn't like them, he just didn't believe in them, and even if he did, he would consider it complete absurdity and childish inventions. Yes, the man's logic was indeed somewhat strange.

And now this man stood in front of the bloodthirsty beast and laughed at his own stupidity.

In the process, "is this karma?"... The man muttered, grinning and mentally preparing for his fate. But Vlad chose to ignore the man's strange behaviour.

His instincts told him to kill this man as soon as possible and taste the delicacy known as human heart.

Vlad ran up to the passerby as quickly as possible, and although the guy considered his speed to be completely normal, it would seem to others that he had teleported, because everything happened literally instantly.

Vlad grabbed the man by the throat, but he, in turn, did not give up so easily and tried in every possible way to fight back, striking his face, neck and arms, but all his attempts were in vain, for Vlad it was akin to being pricked by thorns and mosquito bites. To some people or entities, this scene could even look somewhat comical, like a butcher holding a goose before slaughter, ha ha. And when vlad tried to break the passerby's neck, a sweet voice came from somewhere, which belonged to the same women he saw in his dream.

"Vlad, long time no see!"

Recognizing her lovely voice, he loosened his grip and released the man. Nothing around him at that moment could have distracted him. He finally saw her.

"You" he said.
