Feng Ling laughed, "It's not what you think!"
"Then what happened?" Ling Feng asked.
"There are two reasons why Evil Dragon obediently sent the money," Feng Ling explained.
Feng Ling held up a finger, "First, there are rules in our line of work. He lost in front of so many people last night, so backing out of the debt was out of the question. If he didn't pay, his reputation would be ruined and he'd never be able to mix in Guo City again!"
"As for the second reason, Buddha Master isn't in Guo City. He resides in the Golden Triangle most of the time, and he always travels with at least a few dozen bodyguards. He hardly dares to leave. So even though Evil Dragon is intimidated by the strength of my Black Dragon Sect, he can't just go asking Buddha Master for help."
Hearing this, Ling Feng became even more puzzled, "Then why does he still cling to Buddha Master?"
"Business, of course. He gets his goods from them. How could he not show some respect and benefit?" Feng Ling said.
