Before mutating, its original form could be any type of vine that thrives in the shade. When such a vine encounters a Phantom Soul Beast and becomes its den, the mutation slowly begins to manifest.
As a Divine Soul type of Demon Beast, the Phantom Soul Beast is extremely lethargic, spending most of its time in a state between sleep and wakefulness. But make no mistake, even in such a state, its attentiveness surpasses that of a Fifth Realm Martial Artist in the Soul Sea Realm.
Its terror-inducing Divine Soul Power is mainly responsible for this.
The sleeping Phantom Soul Beast drools, and its saliva drips down, watering the roots of the vine. If this state persists for ten years, the vine will mutate into the Soul Saliva Vine.
If the watering continues for another ten years, the Soul Saliva Vine will bear a Spirit Fruit known as the Soul Saliva Fruit, which is initially useless and highly toxic.
