Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Camron spent the first few hours of the day in the shop helping his dad, being a Sunday it was normally quite. At 11 his dad sent him home to finish his homework and to play the game.

[Task Complete]

[Level Up]

Grim had just handed Amas the 5 daggers and ticked over the last bit of experience needed to reach level 10.

"What level is your enchanting up to"

"Just passed level 2, finishing this dagger"

Grim held one of the daggers up to Amas

"Oh very nice work on it, you seemed to have made an additional one. The grade of the enchantment is level 2 and you made that at level 1"

"Yeah"

"It doesn't sound that good now but if you can produce a grade fighter then your are when you get stronger it will make a big difference. Well here is your payment, are you ready for your next job"

[75 Gold Acquired]

"Ready to go when ever"

"Head out of the village and earn 500 gold enchanting items. When you have earnt that come back and you can purchase a book from the selves containing a new enchantment"

[New Quest

Earn 500 Gold]

Grim looked at Amas who was walking back to the back of the shop taking each of the daggers with him. Grim now looked at each of the books behind the glass panel stopping him from viewing them.

"The 500 Gold, is that solely just from enchantments or everything" Grim thought checking the progress

[Quest progress 249/500]

[Gold : 249]

"So it counts all types of income. Time to sell the dagger and earn some extra"

Grim went to a bench near the water fountain and opened up the in game store.

Grim filled everything and placed it for a 24 hour auction and left for the market.

"If I rent a store and sell strengthen enhancements I'll make the 500g and have the dagger as a profit" He thought starting his business.

"Lex, soldiers are now coming left" a voice called out

An orb that drew light into it making it look like a ball of light left the end of the staff.

[Light devourer released]

The orb grew brighter masking the growing shadows until the last sliver of light vanished.

"Attack now, we need to get the totem"

Lexie's vision wasnt effected by the light vanishing and could see the first we of soldiers looking round and squinting trying to see where they are doing. Walking up she moved the tip of her staff to the head of the first one. The tip of the staff slowly started to open up, when the two where close to each other a light grey powder left and the soldier breathed it in.

[Soul Taint activated]

[Level 265 soldier infected]

As the notification popped up the soldiers eyes turned red and he faced the rest of them, taking a step towards them it drew its sword and slashed down closet one before moving to the next.

"HELP!!!!!"

"Whats happening"

"Where"

"Protect your self"

Cries started emerging as the soldiers fell down not dead but bleeding out, after 30 seconds the ball of darkness started to creak and rays of light returned to there original places illuminating the fallen soldiers.

"Orcus, ill leave the rest to you" Lexie called flipping her hood up melting into the shadows slipping past the soldiers.

"Have fun" She replied, the blood of the soldiers started to form needles and shot at the ones blinded by the sudden light either killing them or making them bleed causing more needles to fly.

Lexie made her way further down the stairs slipping past soldiers that where running to deal with her friend until she came to a large oak door. Stopping she could her a familiar sound but couldnt place what it was.

"Come out, i can see you"

Looking round for the source of the voice she found a man sat on a stone sharpening a large great sword, now knowing what the noise was.

"Greeting, Guardian"

"Guardian, i have a name"

"I would love to hear that but im in a rush" Lexie know that this was the start of a long dialogue she didnt want to hear.

"So be it" The Guardian stood up and walked to her dragging his sword in the ground

"Shadow bind" Lexie called out pointing her staff at the Guardian causing it to step away from the shadows expecting something to happen.

"Got you" The tip of the staff shot out a dark beam the second the Guardian looked at the shadows but it raised its sword reflecting the beam in to the roof.

"Not so easily" the Guardian called suddenly closing the distance

"Shadow bind" the Guardian slowed its strike slightly, not because of the skill but because the voice called out from behind it, in front from all around. This time the shadows did move and grab hold of the limbs of the Guardian.

"Do you know what that beam of darkness was" Lexie stepped out from the shadows as the other one melted away. "It was a gift from my God in hopes of finding the totem, Mind Erosion. Its very useful but does take its toll on me, it locks the target in there mind the beam you thought you deflected actually hit you i just had you see otherwise to get this."

In her hand she held an object that seemed to be drawing in darkness making it hard to see the exact shape, every now and then a cloud of darkness shifted revealing aspects of the statue. There was three heads each biting another on a large dog sitting down.

"Now ill be leaving you to play" Lexie said melting into the shadows as dark spears shot to the Guardian.

As she ran up the stairs she met up with her teammate and a pile of bodies, both of them ran to the exit and left the cave not looking back, still hearing the Guardians cries in the distance.

"Did you get it"

"Yeah" Lexie said sharing the information.

"Guess that was worth it" Orcus said looking forward to the new quest. "So have you been to Camrons shop anymore"

"No, ive walked past and he doesnt seem to be there anymore" Lexie answered "I think he must hate me, hes been in there for years and the few times ive gone in its caused him to stop"
