"Oh Sarah, you're back." I said as I watched Sarah enter the room again.
"Yeah" Sarah responded as she strolled inside the room.
"What was it?" Kevin asked curiously.
"My aunt, just making sure I'm okay." Sarah smiled at Kevin.
Oh, I wish I had an aunt like that.
Too bad she's dead.
Well, It's not like I'm going to feel sad and depress whenever I think about her, because she's already up in the heaven before I even learned how to walk.
"Oh Kevin, I'm wondering." I turn to Kevin, "How many people that got injured in the riot?" I asked.
Kevin placed his hands on his chin and began thinking.
"There were three severely injured, and a few dozen with minor injuries." Kevin stated.
I wonder who those three were.
"And those three, do we know them?" I asked.
"That's the best part!" Kevin light up.
How does it make it the best part? I don't know what's going on with Kevin's head right now.
"Why?" I asked.
"Those three are Arne, Eddie, and Roland!"
My heart immediately leapt from my body.
No shit? I know I was the one who done In Roland, but the other two bastards, it's probably the angry crowd that beat them to paste.
"How do you know?" I asked.
"Oh I remember, it was on the news." Christian spoke up.
"Right, I saw it too." Sarah added.
"Really?" I placed both of my hands behind my head.
"Yeah, they even showed the faces of every person involved in the riot." Kevin explained.
My face paled at this.
Ah, shit... was my face there?
"The thing that trouble me the most, was why the main culprit was not on the tv." Sarah turned her head towards me and smile.
"Hey!" I yelled as all of them began laughing.
And just like that, we spent the entire hour talking and laughing.
If only my life would continue like this forever.
Unfortunately, you couldn't change the mind of someone who had already made a final decision in his life.
And I... no matter what, am going to pursue my new and at the same time, last goal in my life, and that was going to become the most and powerful person here in earth.
Whether I have to dirty my hands with the blood of countless people, If that would mean protecting my loved ones and making myself powerful, then so be it.
After a few more minutes, the three of them finally decided to leave and visit me next time.
After bidding farewell to them, I was once again alone in my room.
Agh, f*cking boring, if only my sister was here.
Checking the clock, I can see it was already 5pm in the afternoon.
Oh, she would probably be here in a few minutes.
Slumping down the bed, my mind began to wander off.
Until I suddenly remembered something.
Mark Wellington...
I'm curious who he really is.
And to find out who he is, I just happen to know someone who knows everybody.
Grabbing Sarah's phone that she left on the table besides me, I began dialing someone and placed the phone on my ears.
After a few seconds of ringing, a clicking sound behind the phone was finally heard.
"Albert" Andrew asnwered behind the phone.
"Yeah, it's me" I responded.
"How are you? I heard what happened."
"I'm fine"
"I see, take care of your body, alright?"
"Yeah yeah yeah" I shrugged.
"So, what do you need?" he asked.
"Do you know someone-" he cut me off.
"It's not free, you know?"
"I'll pay you after I'm release from here."
"Hmph alright, so whose this guy you want to ask about?" he asked.
"Mark Wellington."
After I said that, I can hear a slight gasp behind the phone.
A few seconds have already passed until I can hear his voice on the phone again.
"How do you know him?" he asked.
"I'm the one asking, do your job properly."
I heard him slightly curse behind the phone before speaking.
"Mark Wellington, he's the rich owner of various restaurants here in Arbor, although with his kind and calm appearance in the public, he also had many dark secrets hidden."
"Okay, continue."
"He's the head of the Stratos, a sub branch group of the Miller organization."
Stratos? Miller?
"Can you tell me more about this-" Andrew cut me off again.
"I can't and I'm very sorry about it."
Huh?!
Why can't you...
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Sometimes, there are boundaries you can't cross, the more you don't know, the better." Andrew explained.
This guy... is he f*cking with me?
"What the hell are you talking about?" I asked.
"You're too weak."
My heart skipped a beat at this.
Me? weak?
Do I have to murder someone again?
Is this guy really f*cking with me, it's just a small piece of information.
Does he not trust me to keep quiet and keep all of this information to myself alone?
C'mon, I thought this was the only way to earn profit for yourself.
"Are you really willing to lose one of your customers because of this?" I asked.
I hear him sigh behind the phone, before speaking.
"Please understand, if they find someone like you who bear such secrets, to whom will they trace where those information came from huh?"
I immediately kept quiet at this.
Oh right, he has a point.
But still, it's not like I'm going on the streets and let everyone know about it.
"Many people know me, from the pettiest thug on the street, to the most powerful bigshot in the whole city, so if there is someone to blame because some sensitive information leaked out, it's going to be me!"
I just stared blankly at the wall in front of me as I listened Andrew behind the phone.
He's right, I'm not going to be the one who's going to end up dead in some random alley way.
"I understand" I said, shame slowly washing over me.
"I'm glad to hear that, now if you'll excuse me, I am quite busy right now."
"Oh yes... yes, bye" I immediately ended the call and placed the phone back on the table beside me.
Sighing, I stared at the white ceiling above me again.
This world... it's just too big and complicated.
It seems there's so much I have to learn about.
At that, I suddenly heard a few knocks on the door.
*Knock* Knock* Knock*
"Come in" I called out.
After a few seconds, the door opened, and in came my sister, Anna.
"You're back" I smiled as I sat up on my bed.
"Yeah, you've eaten?" She asked as she placed her bag on the nearby shelf and turned towards me.
"Nope, you?"
"Already done, here, I've brought some cup noodles." she said as she starts rummaging in her bag, probably looking for the cup noodles.
"Oh thanks, by the way I have a question." I asked.
"Hmm?" she continued, not even looking back at me.
After a few more seconds, she finally managed to find it and place it on the table besides me.
"Where's my crack?" She stopped in the middle of pouring hot water on the cup of noodles "You know, I've been always wondering the entire day where all of my shit went, after I fainted."
She turned to look at me, her face full of anger.
Ah... yikes!
If expression can kill, I'd probably be dead right now.
"What about your promise?" she asked, glaring angrily at me
Promise? oh... that day.
Well, I've never intended to keep it anyway.
But still, it's going to break her heart, and I... would never ever do anything to sadden her.
But if it's something to protect her.... then let's just treat this cracks as an investment for a better future.
"Hey, I'm not a junkie, I was only asking!" I retorted back.
"Oh please, then why the f*ck are you asking? what do you even need them for?!" she yelled.
Alright, I think it's already necessary for her to know everything.
"I'm going to earn money from it!" I explained.
She had a look of shock on her face for a moment, before she finally spoke.
"You... a goddamn dealer?" she asked with wide eyes, "You could have chose a decent job!"
My ears rang due to her yell.
This b*tch... does she think she's speaking to a person from a mile away?
Clutching both of my ears with my hands, I finally spoke.
"Yeah, like anyone could accept someone whose sister are willing to f*ck everyone for a single penny." I scoffed as I turned my head at the ceiling and shook my head.
It's only for a moment before I realized what I've just said.
Did I just... holy f*ck!
Immediately turning towards her, I can see her staring right back at me.
Her face, full of mixed emotions.
"Anna, I-I didn't.... I was only..."
