Chereads / INSIGNIA : The Starlight bearer / Chapter 4 - Training with Star-glpyh

Chapter 4 - Training with Star-glpyh

In the middle of the wilderness, Stella takes Astrum to study the power of stars.

"Astrum now is a good time for you to learn about star power."

"I noticed that you can use star glyphs, do you know what that means?"

"Ah! is that a star glyph? I've only ever seen my aunt draw this in front of my mother, then I tried it."

"This ability of yours is not common, usually only Isginias can use star power but you can use it without having any connection with stars."

Then Stella explained the principle of star energy to Astrum.

In principle, living things that are connected by stars can use their energy.

There are several ways to use star energy, the most basic of which is to use glyphs.

The glyph is a Starian language symbol used to concentrate star energy.

"I'll give you some Glyphs for you to study." Stella took some stones then carved them and flowed the energy, then the glyph became shining.

"This Glyph can be placed on various media, the easiest is solid media like this rock. When you become more skilled you can make glyphs in the air."

"You noticed that the previous glyphs had no energy, they were just symbols. After flowing with energy, the glyph will turn into a star-glyph."

Stella handed some glyph stones to Astrum.

"Auntie, these symbols are all different?"

"Of course, each glyph represents a different concentration. Right now, I'm going to teach you some basic glyphs."

Stella explained some of the differences in the glyphs it provided.

In general, Glyphs are divided into two types, the first is for combat and the second non-combat.

Glyphs fight for strength, defense, speed, agility, and stamina.

While Glyph helps for healing, concealment, and more.

Currently, Stella only provided glyphs for strength, defense, and concealment as she felt it was sufficient for Astrum's current state.

"Now you try to use your consciousness to recognize this glyph." Stella pointed at the power glyph.

Astrum held the stone in his right hand and looked at it seriously. Instantly the glyph shone even brighter.

Astrum currently seemed to change dimensions, he was in boundless space and there was only the glyph in front of him.

He touched the glyph that was floating in the air and then the glyph scattered into several similar but different glyphs. He was surrounded by these glyphs.

In awe and amazement, he touched one of the glyphs and felt that his consciousness was fused with the glyph. Then he tried to blend with all the glyphs around him.

It was as fun as a child playing until he lost track of time, Astrum didn't even realize how long it took him to unite his consciousness with the glyphs of this power.

After a while he had fused with all the glyphs, he felt his consciousness full of strange knowledge.

Then he woke up from a dreamlike state, he opened his eyes and realized that he was still standing holding the glyph. The glyph that was previously shining brightly now dimmed and gradually faded away.

"Wow! Auntie, how long have I studied the glyph?"

"What did you say? You just touched the glyph."

"Hah? So, it was a dream?" Astrum was still confused.

"Dream? What kind of dream?"

Then Astrum told Stella what had happened.

"You mean, you managed to learn this glyph in just a short amount of time?"

"Short? I felt it for a long time. It's like 1 day, but I can't stop it"

Stella was confused by this phenomenon because she had never heard of or seen this phenomenon in her people.

"Try to carve the same glyph on the rock." Stella took a blank stone and handed it to Astrum.

Astrum carved the stone with ease and once it was engraved the glyph lit up instantly.

"Extraordinary!" Stella was amazed and her eyes got wider

"This glyph is even smoother and stronger than the one I gave you." She held the glyph and noticed the difference with the glyph she had made before.

Then she looked at Astrum again and asked: "Are you all right? Don't feel too much pain in your head?"

"Headache? No, just a little full." Astrum replied while scratching his head.

"Okay, you take rest first"

Stella is still amazed by this phenomenon because to her knowledge it takes 1 week to learn a glyph for a new Starian. Even Astrum not only studied one glyph but was also able to refine this glyph.

Then after a few minutes of rest, Astrum got up and walked over to Stella

"Auntie, I am ready. Come on again!"

Then Stella directed Astrum to study the defensive glyphs and the same phenomenon also appeared.

After 1 hour, Astrum has finished studying three glyphs.

Realizing that there was still time, Stella asked Astrum to practice making the glyphs she had learned.

Half an hour later, Astrum was able to make the glyph, but he didn't stop. He tried to apply the experience he got. He experimented with changing the shape of the glyph a little and the result was a glyph with a stronger light.

Stella who noticed this phenomenon was even more amazed as if her consciousness had sunk into the glyph.

She closed his eyes and was silent for a few minutes, then she opened his eyes and a different look.

Her face turned into awe and his eyes were as calm as the vast ocean.

She got enlightenment!

She realized that the glyph became more perfect and more efficient than before. Her body emitted a light glow for a moment and then returned to normal.

Then he asked Astrum to rest and she continued studying the newly formed glyphs by Astrum, for an hour she was immersed in a new sea of knowledge.

Her body emitted a brighter light than before and this time it did not return to dim. The light grew stronger and stronger.

The situation calmed down again; Stella realized that her level had increased by 1 from studying these glyphs.

Enjoying this accidental advantage, Stella decided to finish today's training and take Astrum back to the main ship.

Stella goes to Sidius to tell him what happened during Astrum's training.

Hearing this incident Sidius was surprised, then they decided the next day they would train Astrum together.

The next day, it was a morning without sun. Only the clock on the flagship said it was morning. Astrum wakes up excited to learn more.

When he got off the main ship, he approached Stella.

"Auntie, today we practice again?"

"Of course, this time Sidius will come along"

"Wow, uncle Sidius joined the training"

"Yes of course. My training is different from Stella, much more fun." Sidius smiled slyly.

Astrum realized there was something strange, he felt goosebumps on his body.

When they arrived at the training site, Stella explained the difference in her strength with Sidius.

Stella's strength focuses on support while Sidius is stronger in direct Combat.

All Starians have their Glyph, the basis of each glyph is the same as strength, defense, speed, and others.

But the focus Sidius's power is focused on combat so his star power is different than Stella's power.

"Alright, Stella has already taught you some basic glyphs. I will teach you the power glyphs in the form of equipment."

Sidius took a stone and painted a glyph on it. When Sidius transferred his energy into the glyph, the light on the glyph shone and the glyph transformed into something like a knife emitting golden light.

"This glyph is used to make a weapon. The energy stored in this glyph depends on the user's power and control."

"Now, you try to study this glyph and make the same like this".

Astrum took the knife from Sidius, he looked at the knife in amazement. Then the same phenomenon happened again, he entered a different dimension.

This time when he touched the glyph, it split into different shapes.

The shapes resemble knives with various forms that appeared with golden rays surrounding them. He touches these forms and gains new knowledge about the weapons that appear.

After a few minutes, he opened his eyes and regained consciousness.

Then he chose a small rock, he painted a glyph similar to what Sidius did.

After a few minutes, Astrum finished making the glyph smoothly and neatly.

The glyph on the stone shone and enveloped the stone, and then he handed the stone to Sidius.

"Uncle, I'm sorry I didn't make the knife as you ordered. Because my mother forbids me to use sharp weapons.

Sidius was holding a lump of rock and looking at it in surprise.

"What kind of weapon is this?"

Suddenly the stone shrouded in light began to crack and break into pieces.

The glyph is transformed into a small stick, Sidius grab the stick dan swing it.

He is amazed that this stick somehow can give out a strong light slash, then he tries to use the stick to the nearest boulder.

He slashes the boulder with a hard swing, then what happened next amazed him.
