'He... He changed'
The freezing breeze of the night brew the ambiance cold that swept along the skin of Alab. Shiver enveloped him as he panted for air, his breathing became heavy as bloodlust pressed his small figure.
He unconsciously stepped back several meters away.
His body then dropped to the barren soil as he held his neck, the bloodlust pressing him more. Fiery azure eyes glared at Alab. It emitted bloodlust that brought Alab kneeling to the ground.
*ting
Another clanging of metals pricked his ears. Alab could care less as his eyes were fixated on the cold man before him. With stature that was only a little taller and fatter than Alab, the man drew the surrounding air towards him as he took a deep breath. His small chest expand and contracted as he walked towards Alab.
Each step intesifying the bloodlust that relentlessly pressed against Alab. Blood oozed out of Alab's mouth as his body trembled from fear. The bloodlust was fiercer than the girl survivor earlier.
Alab couldnt ponder where this so much bloodlust was coming from. He believed he didnt do any harm to Nathan.
It didnt take him too long before he get his answer.
"My skill, GIVE IT BACK!"
A low and cold voice of Nathan pricked his ears. Only then did Alab recall witching skill with the latter. He was given no time earlier to ponder and just chose whatever skill. Alab believed that he stoke a higher grade skill from this seemingly another person Nathan.
Everything around him changed. His naive and pretentious temperament became cold and fiercer. He was no longer the naive villain aspirant that Alab knew.
His hair darker than coal that dripped to his forehead, now brushed back, the cold breeze blowing his unveiled forehead and hair that danced along the breeze. His humanly expressions turned frozen, flashing still a face of a madman with endless hatred.
At that moment, Alab knew that it was no longer the Nathan he met. It was safe to assume that it was another person dwelling in Nathan's body.
At this thought, veins bulged out of Alab's forehead as fury submerged his head. He no longer care about the bloodlust as he equally emitted a bloodlust of his own.
Standing on his feet, his knees trembling, Alab glared back at the new Nathan.
"You! Who are you?! Give back the body of Nathan!", Alab screamed as madness clearly surrounded him. The opponent no longer pose any threat to him as Alab stood his ground, his feet calmed down as he called for his system.
A new list of skills were now displayed before him.
[Skills:
Skill Switch (S) (Active)
Lord of the Souls (SSS) (Passive)]
"This?!"
Scanning through his skill, the heart of Alab throbbed with mixed emotions. SSS grade - the concept that they never knew existed, a power that could even be greater than several A-grade combined. That very skill was now on his skill list.
On this thought, Alab figured out why so much bloodlust was oozing out of the new Nathan. Apparently, he stole an SSS-grade skill from him.
"You must have figure out your mistake, now, give me back my skill! Else, ILL KILL YOU", threathened Nathan as he halted on his steps. The three tentacles on his back extended for more as it effortlessly parried the scythe of the young girl from earlier whose attacks relentlessly hurled towards Nathan.
Alab nearly forgot the young girl who closely killed him earlier. Still, he had to drift his attention to Nathan whose bloodlust was yet to die out.
"Who are you?", Alab muttered as he glanced at Nathan. His serene blue eyes met the fiery azure eyes of the latter.
"That's not for you to know", Nathan muttered in cold voice as he drew one of the tentacles forward, drifting towards Alab in fast speed.
"Shit---"
Alab couldnt keep up with the speed of the tentacle at all as it drew closer to his body, bending nimbly in the air as it strode forward. Alab scanned his skills once more.
He knew that the SSS grade skill [Lord of the Souls] cannot be used at the moment and required a catalyst to activate. With that, he only had his [Switch Skill] to use.
'That tentacle skill is undoubtedly at least S-grade, if I can get that, I can fight back', he pondered as he rapidly glanced at Nathan.
However, seconds passed with the tentacle drew in, the cold breeze whistled as Alab waited. A second after a second passed and by the time the tentacle tangled his body, hoisting him up, Alab realized that he could no longer use his skill.
Worries overcame his thoughts.
'Why is it not working?! Does the skill only have limited uses a day? Is another catalyst needed? Why?!'
Suffocation hit him as the entanglement squeezed his body. Cracking sounds pierced his ears as his bones appeared breaking from the contraction.
"ARGHHHHH!"
Alab screamed but he could do nothing. The 2 meters diameter tentacle carried so much strength. Slimy fluid dripped from the tentacle as it drew Alab closer to Nathan.
"Give me my skill and I will let you live", the monotone voice of Nathan sounded.
"I cant...", Alab screamed as he glared at Nathan.
Compressing his body more, the tentacle shrinked then bent in unusual manner. Alab felt his spinal cord broke as his the back of his head met his feet, his body bent along with the tentacle as he wailed in pain.
"ARGHHHH"
"Give me back my skill", Nathan uttered once more
In frustrating posture, Alab cried out.
"Its not that I dont want to, but I cant... I dont know why", he cried out as his vision became blurry, blood dripped from his mouth as fire remained ignited in his eyes.
He knew that fighting back against this madman was futile. The entire time, he utilized only a single skill and Alab clearly saw several skills earlier. Besides, he had to prioritize his life, his sister might be waiting for his return after all.
Upon hearing him, Nathan surprisingly ceased his bloodlust. The compression of the tentacle drew lighter and lighter until finally, Alab was freed from entanglement, his body plunged to the ground.
*Thud
With the tentacle retreating to his back, Nathan spared a last glance at Alab, his smooth lips opened as he muttered.
"It seems that you are telling the truth. I will let you live until I find a way to get back my skill.", he muttered as he then tilted his head, his back now facing the unconscious Alab who had lost so much blood.
"Now, shall I exterminate this bug?", muttered Nathan as he retracted his three tentacles. Meeting his deadpan expression, the young girl in the air with scythe on her hand boiled with worries.
"Fuckkk!", the young girl mumbled.
