Daniel paused, smiled, and calmly responded "I did Uncle Cole. I more readily remember what it is like to be eighteen and be uncertain. To have dreams for my future and find things changed because of the circumstances that present itself to you. I realised when my parents died that I had to reassess what I thought would be my future and face the reality that the world presented to me at eighteen."
Pausing again, a more serious look came across Daniel's face before he continued "I could have walked away from my grieving brother and left him at the mercy of the balance of our scheming family while I dealt with their deaths. But I did not, because I could in just the few days between their deaths and their funerals, see what abandoning him to deal with my own grief would cause. That is why, I asked for your help in the case I brought to force them all to abandon any idea of gaining custody of Sebastian."
