I was standing behind Owen, waiting for the right moment.
Jeremy: I don't have an ex-lover.
Owen and I were looking at him, eager to hear what he was about to say.
Jeremy: I have royal people.
Owen was confused then, Jeremy told me to do it. I get to his back and tried to stab him with the knife, he noticed and the knife wasn't able to cut through his heart, I had stabbed right under the heart.
Owen threw me away and said: So you worked with him. you just dug your grave.
Jeremy was expecting to see him dead but he was alive then, he contacted someone and told them to bring the helicopter. Owen wasn't standing still, either. He called all of his forces and they were on their way to get us. Owen started to shoot at us, so did we.
We had to escape, we were only two and they were a lot. The plan didn't go well because of my mistake. We escaped through the window and jumped outside. Owen did not stop shooting and finally he was able to hit me as I was getting out of the window. Jeremy became pale when he saw my foot in blood. He tried to shoot him back. I couldn't see if he got shot or he dodged. We were running away to the place where the helicopter could land, and the police were after us, shooting, running, throwing bomb. The earth beneath us was shaking due the explosion. Luckily, they did not hit us. We had to run faster and I was holding Jeremy back because of my foot.
While we were running away, Jeremy told me: Run as fast as you can.
-What are you going to do?
Jeremy: Stopping them completely, once and for all.
-It's insane.
Jeremy: This is for everyone. This is for the family, Ok?
-What if you get hurt?
Jeremy: I'll be fine; I know what I'm about to do. Run as fast as you can, help is on its way. Never look back, just run with all you have.
-No, what if we get separated again?
Jeremy: Raven, please this isn't about us anymore, it's for the family. Once they're down, we can live freely. Promise me you will get to the helicopter.
-Fine, but you gave to come back.
Jeremy: I will, we will be nothing without me. See you later.
I ran as fast as I could, I wanted to look behind and see what was happening, but I had made a promise. Jeremy was behind me, the police were behind me and help was in front of me, but they hadn't come yet.
As I was running, my foot was bleeding horribly and I had to wait until I reach some where safe. I was too selfish, weren't I?
To leave Jeremy alone on the battle field. I was an obstacle for him. I can't remember the exact time when I started to be such a useless subject to Jeremy. After my first huge mission, I lost everything. My power to fight, my power to stand, my power to fight, they were all gone, instead they were filled with cowardice. I wasn't the right person for Jeremy and the organization. I realized it just after I sent the whole thing on fire, killed many people, become the only cause of my comrades' death. If we hadn't met on that day, If I had refused to come with Jeremy, he wouldn't have to get into anything. He would have continued his career without any problems and they would have risen up day by day.
And they would have destroyed what was left from humanity. We were criminals not messengers from heaven. We were not the good guys; we were the bad guys. It's funny how we hate something and then we end up as doing them, becoming one with them and forgetting who we were, what our dreams were. We forget, we neglect, we ignore and we move on, because we are the humans who think we're the best of them all and we are the worst of them all.
As I was running, a huge explosion occurred, I couldn't move anymore, I turned around to see if Jeremy was alright or not.
I wished and I prayed to see Jeremy alive. I didn't want to lose him at least not because of me. The helicopter had arrived and I was almost near it. The people inside came outside to help me and when I told them about Jeremy, they ran as fast as they could. They were worried about their leader, their comrade, their friend, their family, their Jeremy. While I was waiting for them to come, someone tended to my foot and tried to stop the bleeding. I had lost a lot of blood. But I couldn't pass out, I couldn't rest until I saw Jeremy in one piece. The building was a little bit far and then I realized how far I had come with such injured foot. Was I strong? Was I brave enough? Or was I a total idiot?
I took the binoculars and tried to find Jeremy.
There was dust in the air and the building was completely destroyed. Who had set the bomb there? Who did it? Was it Jeremy or the police? I just couldn't stop asking.
As I was looking around, I saw a man limping, trying hard to move. He was hurt. He was Jeremy. He told me he would be fine. Help was on its way. There was another man behind Jeremy, I did not know he was still alive, it was Owen, chasing after Jeremy. Both of them were drenched in blood and hurt. There was no sign of Owen's people, were they dead? Since he was alive, there was the possibility of them being alive and waiting to attack. I was sure Jeremy knew this. He was trying, but he was damaged seriously. Why didn't I come with him? Why was I such a retard? Jeremy was in pain because of me, I deserved to die right on the battlefield. After our people reached Jeremy, they started to shoot at the ones who were ambushing us.
Finally, Jeremy was safe, they took the lead of the battle. Some went to get him. When he reached us, I nagged him about his crazy idea of destroying the whole area. I was worried as hell. We were about to get up then, the pilot stopped due to Jeremy's command. He was waiting for his people who were still fighting to come back. He was a true leader. As he as was getting treated, I hugged him and said: I was really worried, why didn't you wait for them to come and help.
Jeremy: It was my fight.
-It was not yours alone. It's only because of me and I made you suffer like this.
Jeremy: You're not the one to tell me off. You're in a worse situation.
-Don't say such thing, just rest.
We were waiting, but they didn't come and the pilot started to take off. Owen was still alive looking at us. He was suspicious. Did he have anything in mind? I told someone to hit them. While we were preparing to hit them, I saw something coming right to us with such speed. It was inevitable to dodge, we looked at each other, realizing that was the only moment of our lives, Jeremy looked at me and shouted: I love you.
Then I was thrown outside, with a parachute in my hands. I was in shock. Jeremy threw me out, he was still in there with our family. The rocket was about to hit us, we could all have jumped together but why did he throw me? I burst into tears, not understanding what was happening. I couldn't say a word. They were all waving at me. Why the hell did they save me? I was the only one to blame, the only one at fault, it had to be me not them, not Jeremy, not the love of my life, not the people who saved us. I fell down little by little and my beloved Jeremy and family got farther and farther, then got shot by the rocket which was aimed at them.
The helicopter broke into pieces in front of me. Right in front of my eyes, Jeremy got shattered to pieces. I fell on the ground. The air, the sky, the ground, everything was destroyed in front of me. I was in shock, crying, I couldn't let out even a small cry, it was like my voice were gone, due to the fall I was damaged, but I couldn't feel them, I couldn't even think, I couldn't even breathe properly. Jeremy was dead. He died for real. I let out a horrible sound, I didn't know what I was saying, I was just shouting.
Jeremy was gone, he was dead. I couldn't even tell him loved him. I couldn't hug him more; I couldn't hold him in my arms when he died. I wanted to die along with him, what was I without him? What was I without Jeremy? I was shouting, hitting my head, my body, crying. I couldn't believe Jeremy was gone. I just didn't want to believe; My Jeremy was gone.
Why was he the one to die? Why...WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY?
WHY DID YOU TAKE JEREMY FROM ME? WHY DID YOU? BRING HIM BACK. BRING MY JEREMY BACK!
Please bring him back.
