"Sweetheart, should we go home now?" Sabrina asked as she extended her hand to take him but he turned his head quickly.
Calliope laughed. "He is an intelligent boy. Rian, you are very lovely."
Rian laughed. He didn't understand what the pretty girl said but he liked that she talked to him. He didn't pull her hair like he used to do. Instead, he was softly touching her hair. From his gesture, one could estimate that the boy really liked the lady.
"Rian, it's time to go home, son, " Dyke sighed. It was as if he could understand his son's fascination with the lady.
Of course, Rian ignored his father too. Why would he look at the faces of peasants when he was in the queen's lap?
However, in the end, his peasant parents won and he was taken home against his wishes. He cried and kicked a fuss but no one took him seriously. He stopped crying when the pretty lady said she would visit him.
