When Calliope asked Dyke that he hated Emiliano, not her father, he had no answer. He was just quiet.
She didn't say anything about those two dead men anymore as she had no intention of spoiling her mood. Instead, she started asking another question.
"If you called me here, I'm sure you would know how to deal with this situation," Calliope said with a raised brow.
Dyke nodded his head. He had everything under his control but he didn't have the authority to act on his plan.
"The board of directors are unhappy with the current CEO," Laxamus began sharing his plan. " If a resolution is passed with the consent of the ¾ Board of directors we can overthrow the CEO and his aspiration to join other platforms."
He paused for a minute and then added, "Jeffery Hendrix wished to make Clicknext subservient to other platforms. This is not the goal of ClickNext."
"And why do you think the Board of directors will consent in our favour?" Calliope asked him. It would be stupid to think that Jeffery Hendrix had not taken necessary measures.
"We can turn them in our favour," Dyke said as if it's the most natural thing to do.
"And how will we do that?" Calliope raised her brow.
"By offering them something they would want," Dyke said as a matter of fact.
"Dyke, if we offer them first, we will sound weak. We have to show them that we are the powerful side. We don't have to give them what they want."
Calliope could understand the matter well now that he had explained every single point.
"Then?" Laxamus looked at her in confusion.
This version of Calliope was something he had never seen. All he could say was that it was dangerous. He wondered what she had gone through in the last two years to go through such a huge change. Even he could tell that she wasn't who she used to be. She had changed a lot for better or worse….only God knew that.
"We need a powerful face that can replace the CEO," Calliope further said.
"I have one in mind. I will show you his portfolio," Laxamus said. It wasn't that he had chosen this man as the next CEO but someone else had his eyes on him. This person was young but extremely intelligent. He was the CEO of a leading technology company but for some unspeakable reasons, he had resigned last year from his post.
Laxamus had his eye fixed on this person because his working style and vision matched ClickNext.
Calliope looked at the portfolio and kept it aside for taking JJ aka James Johnstone's opinions.
"What about the board of directors?" Laxamus asked her.
"About them…" Calliope paused for a moment and then continued staring at his face. "Get rid of moles. No matter whose side they are."
"We are shooting our foot by getting rid of our allies," Laxamus quickly said.
"A mole is no one's ally, Laxamus," Calliope couldn't help but say. "If they can stab Jeffery's back, they can backstab us too when the time comes."
"Elaborate please," Laxamus sighed. He should get used to Calliope's lethal version.
He could just feel it.
She was going to explode the capital.
Calliope nodded her head and asked him for a sheet of paper and pencil. She drew a diagram to make his understanding easier.
She was going to explain her plan in several steps.
Although the plan was pretty simple, it was something nobody had ever thought about.
"Give me a few characteristics of Jeffrey Hendrix's personality," Calliope said.
Laxamus stared at her and replied, "Jeffery Hendrix is an intelligent businessman. Doesn't have a failed project under his belt. Even a man as great as him has shortcomings, he is vain, extremely arrogant and feels most of the people are beneath him. He likes people fawning him."
"Exactly," Calliope smiled. "Btw you forget one main thing."
"What?" Laxamus furrowed his brows.
"Jeffrey Hendrix doesn't like doing things the easy way. He will always choose the most complicated and longest route to deal with a problem. He is an unconventional man," Calliope replied. She had a particular memory of Jeffrey Hendrix where he wasted twice the amount of required resources to deal with a problem, just to sound and seen unique.
Then, Calliope explained her plan to Laxamus. Step by step.
"As we all can see, everyone is waiting for ClickNext's fall," Calliope began speaking. She could imagine the heads of the Hawthrone and Engelson family sitting in front of their televisions, a glass of wine in their heads, desperately waiting for the moment when they declare Wildings bankrupt.
"Step one: We will send JJ to CEO Hendrix and have him 'request' that the Wilding family doesn't want the same thing as him and he should take a step back."
Laxamus snorted. It would fail. CEO Hendrix would kick JJ in the shin. Those two old nemeses hated each other's presence.
"Step Two: Boost his ego. He would think JJ has fallen on his knees. Their lifelong rivalry finally has a result and he had won. Doesn't he always want to see JJ as the loser? We will give him exactly what he wants."
Laxamus stared at her. Who was this woman? This wasn't Calliope Wilding? Was she really Calliope?
Little did he know that it was Calliope 2.0.
"We will make CEO Hendrix think that he holds power over us and that we are under his mercy."
