Clearing my eyes as much as I could still being half blind I saw one of the jagged rocks and sprinted over to it as quickly as I could so I could clear my vision stumbling under the rock I couldn't see what was around me or under the rock with me. Sitting on the ground I clean my eyes making my vision once again whole but somethings changed the tunnel wasn't dimly lit, the plants, the crystals and even some of the bug now had goldish blue lines with speckles of light in them. It was beautiful but the closer I looked the more the lines seemed to tell me about what I was looking at like I was reading there information from there soul. Concerned I averted my eyes away from all that was living and only read a crystal in a panic just as an attempt to understand what my eyes where doing, I stared at a small crystal with only one line it was new as well as right behind me. Looking I couldn't see much it was as if there wasn't anything but slowly I realized it was all laid out before me I knew it's age, what crystal it was,why it was the rainbow color it was just not what it did, or what I could do with it but I had a shadow of what I could I felt weird and confused even more I couldn't tell if these feelings and shadowy way of thoughts was just because of it being lifeless or not but the last thing I wanted to try to do after having everything change so much and so fast was read another's soul. Now only attempting to use brief glances at living things just to understand there shape or color I moved on it the caves tunnel walking for what felt like days on my feet by the time I wanted to stop as I couldn't keep track of the time with all that was going threw my head I rested in a area with the same tunnel shape and size just no rocks only plants I hoped it was a good sign as when I first started running in the cave which felt long ago plants where farce with the rocks being plenty laying out over the hilly terrain which now was more flat and plains like. Tired but still to distracted by my new sight and worried about my surroundings to care I persevered in hopes that the end would be near walking non-stop until I came to light yellowish white light I knew that light it made me feel comfortable with the first secure hope I had since entering this cave seeing it I jogged quickly which ended up turned into a full sprint running towards the light I only had one thing in mind completely forgetting about my sight and worry's from before just staring out into the light. Breaking the casting shadow I emerge out of the cave finally seeing real sunlight looking around in pure joy just taking in my surroundings finally having real light and not having to smell wet moss all day was amazing I almost started crying. *BEEP* *BEEP* terrified I crouched down searching my surroundings until a orange screen popped up in front of me announcing in a almost high pitched Irish accent "CONGRATULATIONS on keepen your small existence heres a gift" "it's useful trust me ;)"
(You've unlocked the eyes of the researcher)
The Instant I was done reading the message not even able to comprehend the fact that it was a language I've never read yet I was able to read it my head filled with knowledge from the surrounding trees and wildlife around me. So much pored in that I collapse to my knees grabbing my head in hopes I wouldn't have to deal with comprehending so much after about a minute or two and me screaming in pain I was finally able to open my eyes again thinking about what I just learned catching my breath/Letting my brain calm down a little bit I sat up looking directly in front of me. Now realizing I did not just have an overflow of knowledge I gained the way to see things properties or aspects. In shock not even realizing I practically screamed out the knowledge from the tree in front of me.
" WHITE WOOD FICLKE TREE: the name come from the almost pure white wood it has and it's very lose brittle bark that's almost always dry making the roots the only way these trees really get water[ this tree does not grow any fruit or flowers nor nuts or berries of any kind it reproduces through seed pods laid flat on the inside of there bark allowing for humanoids or other sapient creatures to plant these easily or by birds using small pieces to build nests] " that is all the information now but proper research or development of said item or material can unlock more knowledge". Realizing what I had now I immediately turned Back to look into the cave and hopes to find out what those berries were or maybe even the glowing plants or to simply try it on the crystals my mind went rampant with possibilities. But when I looked back there was no cave entrance only a mountain side to sheer for me to even think of climbing it still with hopes to figure out what happened I run over to the mountain and start touching it I found nothing out the only thing that I got was the information on Flint and stone which was nothing more then flint is a brittle stone like material that can cause sparks if struck properly, and stone which was a hard material that can be used for many possibilities even a weapon. With my hopes no longer even a smidge in my body about learning something about that cave I moved on Investigating small plants or herb looking like material to find something to eat finding a total of three brief descriptions of these plants were siculvine: a vine with a milky substance in the inside with the tendency to grow upwards as well as a flavor closer to cilantro, wadleafs a Single stem herb that can grow up to 5 feet and has thick edible leaves shaped somewhat triangular the flavor is something similar to lettuce, the last one being the most unique and fascinating one out of all of them it was a bush that grew more upwards then outwards it had buds that where yellow and very brittle as well as the branches where edible with a meat like texture on the inside that has a long white cheese like material through it like a vein directly in the center. The taste was the best out off the rest with each individual part tasting different the bark tasted like mocha or a very light fudge flavor,t the meat tasting more like a sugar cane sap, while the vein had a milkily almost creamy flavor I loved this herb but strangely enough it didn't have a proper name it was labeled as brittle forest bush (unofficial name) with this I pounded wondering why this plant wasn't named and why unofficial was next to it. As time passed I learned more but the studying of this plant was the foundation to the thriving I had in this world.
